I recently came to New York City over the holidays, planning to go visit the Woodbury Commons Premium Outlets; while doing so, I looked for any watch stores, because I needed one- any way, after shopping in various stores, run like any average mall, no greetings, no salesmanship, no customer service, no nothing; I finally stumbled upon The Watch Station on my way to the bus and information center, and as soon as I walked in, I was welcomed by all the employees, almost simultaneously- all smiling, and very presentable, and very personable. I mean the last time I got welcomed like this was, NEVER! hahahaha! Then- they offered a promotion, and asked me what I was looking for today- so on and so forth, yada yada; after a few minutes, I finally got the watch I fell in love with on first sight, and then I also purchased some jewelry for my girlfriend after the sales team offered some great deals- and then I bought a watch cleaner rag. This is the only store in Woodbury Commons that I visited where I felt so welcome, and comfortable- and I visited a few watch stores, Movado, Fossil, Skagen, Time Factory, and none of their teams met the quality of service I got at The Watch Station; you can really feel the sense of family they have going on; I mean I wasn't just helped by one person, I got everyone's input. Overall, I had a wonderful shopping experience at the Watch Station in Woodbury Commons.... I almost never write good reviews, usually I write complaining reviews- this store really made my day with their sense of humor, and knowledge of their products. 11 out of 10 Stars!

As with any other outlet centers, you really need to know the merchandise if you hope to get an actual bargain. Many of the stores carry items of lesser quality made specifically to sell at outlets. If you're shopping purely for a label you may leave with a car full of shopping bags, just be aware that you may not be getting the same items you'd get if you bought it in a department store. Also, there is a preponderance of clothing stores. There was a time when you could shop at Woodbury Commons for housewares, linens and such, but those stores are gone for the most part. There was a time, long ago when dinosaurs roamed the earth, when you could find real bargains at outlets. Sadly (for me,) that is much more difficult to do now.

If you're a local, you avoid The Commons like Ebola on the weekends. Its a virtual zoo with 99% foreign tourists, most of whom are slobs and rude. They eat in the food court and leave their trash on the table and walk away. You hold a door open and they don't say 'thank you' and if they go out a door in front of you, they let the door fly back into your face without holding it for you. The buys aren't especially good. Shop at Macys with a coupon and you do just as well if not better. Most of the merchandise is not from the current season or irregulars so watch what you spend your money on.

Definitely one of the best outlet shopping areas to go to. Dangerous for your wallet. There's plenty of Asian and European tourists lugging around large luggages to fill with clothes for back home. Come here with an idea of things you need, or else you'll lose focus, and throw everything in the bag.

As a local resident, I'm requesting your management use their brains before deciding to open the Outlet on an icy, treacherous day like today, February 2, 2015. Summarily, Public Safety precedes margin and the Outlet management should be ashamed of themselves for risking lives on a day like today for the sake of a few bucks.

If you dont want to wait for parking, get there when the mall opens. If you go in the middle of the day or afternoon it can take 20-30 minutes to get a spot NOT in the middle of nowhere. Stores are nice. Plenty of foreigners and yes, there are a handful of rude ones. Just go about your day. If you go on Black Friday about 7am or 8 you're good, still good deals vs midnight ones, just without the complete chaos

I was here the day after Christmas, mad I know. There was a line to get into every 'luxury' brand. I don't particularly like Coach products anymore; they're everywhere and there's a crazy influx of imitations on Canal St. that have really cheapened the brand. Regardless, the deals here are very worth it; you'll be able to pick up a few purses for the price of one regular item elsewhere. If you thought Coach was incredibly packed, walk over to UGG. It's funny how their sales aren't even that great- maybe $20 off their boots, but it took close to 45 minutes to get in. I really hated shopping here because there were a ton of people who weren't shopping and just waiting. And while they waited, they took up the seating on the few benches. Please wait outside for your girlfriends and wives. There was this one salesperson at Gucci who forgot to tell us that our bag was at the register. We had asked him to get a new one from the stockroom, and he disappeared for over 10 minutes. When he came out, he was chatting up a storm with another employee. It was only when we flagged him down that he realized he had left us hanging. I was reluctant to allow him the commission, but it was the holiday season. You can thank Christmas, Joe. I didn't buy any clothes that day so I can't say much about those deals. I imagine I'd need a full day to walk the entire outlet. I got to Woodbury after 3:30pm, and stayed til closing time- only having gotten around to 5 stores. Apparently, I missed the memo to arrive early and shop fast.

The mall was under a lot of construction when I went which made it a little less pleasant, but there's still many bargains to be found at some great premium outlets. Don't have the burrito from the 'fresh mexican' place in the food court for lunch - I felt so sick afterwards. We caught a shuttle bus out there for $35 return, including pick ups at several locations in Manhatten, and also received a discount booklet to further add to the great bargains out there. Worth a trip!
