Flour + Water is one of the more authentic, Napoleon-style (thin crust) pizza's in the city. The crust may be the best in the city and their ingredients are fresh and interesting. The overall pizza experience is great. I haven't had anything else on the menu. Nice wine list. They also host events which, although I have never been to one, look like a great time. It is a nice ambiance and a a higher end restaurant.

Quite possibly my favorite restaurant in the city. Discovered them when they first opened early 2009. My husband and I come here to celebrate our special events. Last year, we splurged and did their tasting menu with wine pairings: Highly recommended! Their ambiance is rustic/romantic: wooden tables and chairs, dimly lit candles inside beakers make this a quirky atmosphere. If you can’t get in because they are full or you don’t have a reservation you can eat a community table in the front where you can meet some pretty cool people.

Delicious pastas. Hands down the best I've had. Pretty long waits if you don't have a reservation, so plan accordingly!

Would you be willing to wait 2.5-3 hours to get a table on a weekday only to be served overly salty food? Neither would I but little did I know when my wife and I decided to celebrate a special occasion at this high rated pizza place in San Francisco. After waiting about 2.5 hours we finally got a table and we started off with appetizers. It was all fair and good and then moving on to entrees, we ordered a pizza and ravioli. If you have read my other reviews, you know that I LOVE pizza so when I say the pizza we were served was like 2 on 5, you know I mean it. So here was the issue, the dough they use for their pizza and ravioli's is too salty. The pasta was so salty that we had to ask the server to get it changed but the replacement was only a bit less salty but still more salty than what we would like. We didnt send it back because we didnt want to be rude but that ruined our experience. The pizza was also more salty though the crust was decent. The Wait + Salt (see what I am trying to do here) did it for us and we decided not to visit this place again no matter how good their ratings get! Sigh..I had too high hopes.

Delicious! Was able to walk with at 6;30pm on a weekday without reservation or wait so it probably made me like the place more. Appetizer - Had the king trumpet mushrooms with kale - delicious appetizer to share (and good with bread) Pasta - Teleme scarpinocc pasta was good but the cheese was INTENSE like in my nose intense so I didn't love it but a friend did. Hen raviolini (sp) was great Tagliatelle pork was delicious but so salty Pizza - Salumi pizza was good but spicy sausage was so salty Dessert - Must get!!!! Chocolate budino with espresso cream so delicious Drink - they have lamabrusco! (Sparkling red wine) so I loved that

Fresh pasta, seasonal vegetables, great wine. What's not to love? If you can find a dish with truffles don't deprive yourself. Just a great dining experience!
