Meanwhile, in Ottawa during FCM meetings, I got the chance to connect with another graduate of the University of Northern British Columbia, and offer him the 25th anniversary pin. http://garthfrizzell.ca/wp/2014/11/meeting-james-moore/

I was recently re-elected as a City Councillor in Prince George BC.  I'm continuing on in my role on the Board of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. In this role, I was part of a group that met with Canada's Minister of International Trade, Hon. Ed Fast.

It was productive.

I'm very proud of the work our team does to help ensure that international students choose Prince George as their Canadian hometown.

I recently enjoyed the chance to give four non-campaign speeches about Prince George politics...

Our city in Northern BC, Canada, is in the last two weeks of our local election.  Though I'm running for my third term, I'm also a voter, so I asked the two Mayoral candidates to outline their leadership style.

As the election proceeds, a new friend asked me how experience I had in a scooter.  The led to several days where I was practicing (or walking dogs) from a wheelchair, and a good learning experience with a motorized scooter.

Thanks to the UNBC Political Science Students' Association for hosting an inventive format for their all-candidates meeting.  It was good to have a lot of one-on-one time with students and the public.  loved the format!

Happy United Nations Day.

A solid group turned out in the early Prince George morning to celebrate United Nations Day.
After reading the proclamation, in a solemn moment, we all watched as the UN flag was raised at City Hall today, then lowered to half mast to honour slain Canadian military members Cpl. Nathan Cirillo and W.O. Patrice Vincent.
