Great mix of food, and attentive staff. Good value set menu too. Thanks so much for a lovely evening!

We stayed for a night on our way to Truro, and we were really pleased that we did. Very modern and warm/friendly hotel with nice touches such as getting an iPad to use and pristine bed and bathroom. Nespresso coffee machines in the rooms too. Breakfast was wonderful too, and well worth the extra few pounds. We had a couple of spare hours in the morning and enjoyed sitting and reading in the library. Housekeeping were kind enough to even post my forgotten washbag back to me, for no charge! I can't recommend this hotel enough.

Sadly quite rubbish - we went this morning to 'Bea's American Diner' at about 11am to avoid too much of a rush. Seemed to be about two staff members running around trying to serve all of the tables without success. We sat in the space that was left (next to a blaring speaker) and waited for 10 minutes to order. Another couple came and sat next to us, and the waitress leaned across us for a protracted conversation to take their order. When our food came the pancakes and poached eggs were cold, which for £7 is a disappointment. Plenty of other, better restaurants and cafes around- avoid this incarnation of Bea's.
