“The world can and must stop Ebola – now,” Ban Ki-moon told world leaders gathered at a special meeting held at the UN on Tuesday to speed up the response to the #Ebola outbreak in West Africa -- the largest and most deadly that the world has ever seen. 

"Every day, every minute, counts. We need to talk but we also need to act with speed and efficiency and in ways that deal this virus some heavy blows," said Margaret Chan, head of the World Health Organization (WHO).

Shitty post by +Xeni Jardin . Yes I do not think its time to panic because panic is a sure way to make things worse..BUT Ebola is so scary because in helping the sick the caregiver risks infection too...kind of like smallpox. If Ebola were to get a foothold in a reasonably large American city its very likely going to end badly, It won't take much to overwhelm the hospitals and then the panic will indeed set in. Telling everyone to "shut the fuck up" really isn't helping
