Experience #1: Worst customer service! A group of 9 of us were there on Sunday 5/25/14 celebrating a friend's birthday. We had a reservation at 8PM and came in well before that. By 8:30 we were sitting on the rooftop and had ordered. At around 9:10 (40min later) after WE asked what was taking so long the waiter informed us there was a 30 min wait on the Sushi, which one of us had ordered. The waiter said they didn't want to send everything out but the sushi and that the food would be out any minute. Still, we should have been told of the 30 min wait and that person would probably have had something else. Or they could have brought out complimentary chips and salsa. 10 min later, after WE inquired again, the waiter got an attitude and said "he didn't know and was just telling us what they told him in the kitchen". By this time it was dark and getting cold outside so we asked to be moved inside. By 9:30PM (1hr after ordering) we were sitting inside. Our new waitress wasn't any better. From the beginning she must have thought we were already displeased with the service and did nothing to try to make our experience better. Some of the things she said: "I'm just the messenger", "don't kill the messenger", "it should be M.... up here apologizing to you right now". She was VERY unprofessional. She was technically right and we truly weren't upset with her, but when you work in customer service for a company you sometimes have to make up for another's mistakes. Instead of trying to save our night she decided it wasn't her problem. Our food finally came around 10:00PM, 1.5 hrs after we had ordered, the sushi that had originally caused the "30 min delay" turned out to be 3 poorly prepared shrimp. The food was cold, unappetizing, and the two burgers we ordered were wrong. Management wasn't any better. Through our ordeal we had two different managers/supervisors stop by maybe 3 times to give us half-a**ed excuses, the main one being the restaurant was so "full". Which was completely untrue. The roof was maybe half-full and the floors below were not even at half-capacity. What was unacceptable was the prevailing poor customer service, the fact that NO ONE was apologetic and the general I-don't-care attitude. It wasn't until we called the manager and expressed our discontent that he managed a half-hearted "I'm sorry". At that point one of my friends expressed she didn't feel it was fair to pay for our food and it was then the manager agreed to "take care of it all". They did offer us free dessert as well but we quite honestly just wanted to leave after dinner. At the end of the evening my friend's b-day was prettty much ruined though we did manage to salvage it by going to a different place for drinks after our nightmare at this place. Experience #2: I'll make this one short. I was there with a different group of friends back in February. Even though we had a reservation we were quickly seated and told we had 1 hr to order and eat, because they had another party coming in. We were rushed through dinner and then forced to move to the roof in the middle of Minnesota winter. Even though it was covered by tarps and somewhat conditioned it was still too cold by the tarps and too hot by the fire. Food was bland and they even managed to completely forget one of my friend's order. Needless to say we will never be going back to this place and will not recommend it to anyone.

My daughter had a drink at your restaurant on March 7. Unfortunately at the end of her visit she left her cash card in the tab folder. It was a regrettable move on her part and she wishes she would have remembered it. There was a substantial balance on the card. She contacted the staff immediately. NO RESPONSE. I have written about this situation. NO RESPONSE. I was at a Minneapolis restaurant on March 9-Hell's Kitchen. I asked my server what she would do if I left my credit card or cash card accidentally. She said she would give it to the host or hostess. Sounds reasonable if you value your customers; however, if you are running a a place where you have to beware of the staff and their less than favorable approach to customers, then all bets are off. If I were managing Seven, I would be very concerned that my staff sees young customers as targets rather than guests! Again, I wish my daughter had not been forgetful, but shame on you for taking advantage of her mistake!

The rooftop lounge is definitely a great spot with a nice view. Perfect for hanging out with friends and having drinks. The food is very mediocre and extremely pricey. We got the $80 sushi and rolls platter and it wasn't even filling. The rice is actually cold and hard. The rainbow roll was also not very good. Service is ok, bathrooms are clean.

The rooftop at Seven is the place to be. I often hang there for happy hour or on a warm summer evening. I have so many favorite sushi rolls that I can't pick one...

This place is simply great. The food is delicious, and the staff are AMAZIIIIIING. There was an issue with our order and Kelly made it all better by not only remedying the problem, but also by offering us some freebies! Way to go guys, you really know how to treat a customer! Definitely coming back here again.

Had gone to Seven before and liked the food so for my little brother's 21st birthday I planned an entire night out for him and his friends starting with a nice dinner there, made reservations in advance and even specified it was for a big 21st birthday dinner. Turned out the night of the dinner there was a fight or something on TV and it took AN HOUR AND A HALF to get our table!! If there's an event on TV they know the establishment will be especially busy for, they should have thought of that in advance and adjusted their reservations accordingly! Everything was planned around our reservations and I could not believe it took that long and was so disappointed after I made it very clear it was important event and majorly cut into his time to be out at the bars downtown with his friends (since they live out of town in WI I tried to create a whole night for them) and he even said looking back he thought the night was great but even he was really disappointed we had to just stand there for so long when they could have been out at the bars on his 21st. Food was good (kudos chefs!), but that just ruined it and made me feel so bad for him.
