One of my favorite venues in the sunset strip , the sound it's pretty decent and you get a great view from wherever you are , its mostly standing only but there's also some reserved seating drinks are OK and you can see tons of great bands playing here and its host of the TV show "The World's Greatest tribute bands"

Firstly I would like to say I understand the stress and frustration being a bouncer or security in a club or bar. That being said Me and my girlfriend was enjoying the LA Pride Parade on Santa Monica Blvd. we decided to head up to Sunset blvd around 5pm I ran into a store down the road while my girlfriend decided to try and get a drink for us in the bar up the road named "Roxy" Ive never been in this place but have seen it plenty As I'm walking up the road towards "Roxy" I see two grown 6 foot 3, 200 lb men carrying her by each arm out the front door. (she is 93lbs and tiny) They threw her on the ground and repeatedly punched her in the face that I witnessed I ran up there pushed the man off her and was about to fight this guy but the manager ran out and said that she was not allowed inside before 6pm even though the doors were wide open. She was crying on the ground with 2 black eyes and a cut under her eye bleeding all over the place. I called LAPD and 10 min later 2 officers arrived not looking like they wanted to deal with anything (Public Servants should care if a citizen is Crying and bleeding on the ground) they walked up to me which i was yelling at the manager that the is unacceptable. the officers separated us and questioned my girlfriend she told them that she walked up to the bar asked for a drink the bartender refused to serve her so she turned around to leave when two men (one Black man with long dreads and a skinny white guy with tattoos and piercings) picked her up and carried her out. I refused to let the cops just wave this off and asked them if this how LA works if a law abiding citizen can just be thrown down and beat up by workers in a club then its alright. ITS ASSAULT AND BATTERY. If i didn't show up when i did i don't know what they would have done to her. This morning you can really tell the damage to her she looks like she was hit by a car both her eyes are black and blue and she is scarred under her eye from the cut. THIS IS DISTURBING AND DISGUSTING !! so just a FOREWARNING to anyone you bring there don't let them get too drunk cause the place wasn't even open and they were perfectly fine beating a girl... I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE EVER !!!

I most recently saw Beardyman here. Awesome show!!!! Love how intimate it is here. I've had the luck of performing here as well as attending. I've sat in the VIP area which is really cool but there's really not a bad area to be. Like all Hollywood places the drinks could be cheaper.

If you want to hear the band you paid to see, don't stand anywhere near the bar. If you want to laugh and talk loudly with your friends at a bar, perhaps a 'music' venue isn't the best place for you to go. At a recent show, the bar talkers were so loud that people on the other side of the room (right in front of speakers) were 'shushing' them, so you know it was bad! That being said, this is an 'okay' venue for music - the 'sweet spot' for prime listening is very narrow. I'll only go there if it's the only place in the area that a favorite band is playing. Security keeps the aisles clear and people from sitting on the stage & speakers - did not seem heavy handed to me, but the crowd for the shows I go to are usually fairly mellow. You will be standing the whole time so be prepared for that (comfy shoes, no heavy handbags). It is always a good idea to review restrictions on a venue website. The Roxy could do a better job of updating social media (FB,Twitter) on doors & set times.

The Roxy is one of my favorite venues for music performances because no matter where you stand, you're in a good spot because it's a pretty intimate venue. I've enjoyed every performance here. Be sure to check out your favorite artist if they are lucky enough to be booked here!

First time at The Roxy. Great venue, sound was good, stage was big. I went to see Dum Dum Girls and I enjoyed myself. Drinks were okay. I had the Red Punch for only 8$. Will come back to this venue.

The Roxy Theatre hasn't shared anything with you.

People are more likely to share with you if you add them to your circles.
