I live in Belgium, but bought my phone in the UK. Sony informed me that I would need to pay shipping costs from UK to Belgium, I agreed and provided numerous contact details in my covering letter.
I sent my phone off to SBE Global. Never received confirmation of receipt by any of the contact details provide.
I phoned them up, established they had my phone and was given a job number. When trying to track my phone's repair their tracking system didn't work.
I phoned last Thursday to establish the status of my repair and was told it was fixed dispatched on Tuesday. I thought it was strange I wasn't asked to pay any extra shipping cost but didn't question it further.
Phoned back today (1 vweek after the phone was supposed to be dispatched). No it hasn't been dispatched you ARE required to pay additional costs to send to Belgium.
Nobody had contacted me to give me details of how much and to where I had to pay (7 days after the phone had been fixed). Nobody phoned. Nobody emailed. They could have sent me a letter and I would have found out quicker.
I asked on the phone how much I had to pay - but the customer services couldn't tell me. I told him Belgium was in Europe and so it would be the same for the whole of Europe. He still couldn't tell me.
He then asked me to provide an email address (I'd already provided one in my covering mail) in order to send me the details of cost and payment method. Fearing yet further unnecessary delay, have asked them to send it to my parents' address in the UK.
Whether this was a mistake and will further confuse them I don't know. I'll find out later this week I suppose. Really this phone should be dispatched by latest tomorrow and at my parents' house before the weekend. I'll then my mother to send it to me she's reliable like that.
