This is one of the most crazy stuff. Some kind of  Shaolin kung fu.
Comment in the last says, Si Xingsong, 19, is said to be one of only two people in the world who can do this trick.

Super human effort.  My fingers would pop on the first try.

It's snowing again.

Not sure when the novelty will wear off, even the natives are getting a little weary of the incredible amount of snow we've been getting. It's beautiful to me still, but I wonder (with quite a bit of concern) what this will mean for the inevitable "mud season." We ARE in a flood zone and there's an awful lot of snow piled up around the house (not to mention up and down the road...)

Yes, yes they do! Hopefully there will be warm weather before Spring that will melt some of the tonnes of snow and ice...

Pics from today.....we've got about 6" now and the snow is coming down steadily. Sometimes the wind gets quite brisk and the snow goes sideways. We're supposed to get close to 2 feet by tomorrow AM.

garden fiend
I love the smell of garden dirt--almost as much as I like the veggies I grow!  I am small "l" libertarian politically (started far left, then moderate, then 'conservative'.) I'm artistically inclined, though I haven't done much lately except my garden design - which changes frequently.  I'll take some photos and post them, but I am a amateur compared to what I've seen on G+.  I wrote this the other day and felt I should include it here:
Gardening, some have rocks, some have clay or sand.
Some have too much water or not enough.
The gardener will take what he has, what is given,
And create a bounty, great or small, for all who come to the table.
Bragging rights
I grow a jungle in the backyard, every summer--and I'm trying to extend summer, every year, just a bit more.
