Two times, two strike outs, I'll pass on a third up to batt at the Tin Roof Bistro. This loud, busy restaurant sits by itself at one corner of the Manhattan Village complex. The first time I attended we were seated right next to the waitstaff station - not a great place for two people trying to have a romantic dinner. We go to listen to waitstaff complain, bang on things, and in general be loud and distracting. Couple that with orders errors, the night was not a fun one. The second attempt wasn't much better. This time we were seated by the cutlery station. Did you know one existed? We didn't either until we were seated next to it. We asked to be moved, but were told that the place was too busy to move. Regardless, this is a loud environment. It's busy, but shouting at each other isn't much fun. Although the food was good, both times we had order errors - if those were waitstaff or kitchen related, we'll never know. I do know that the Tin Roof Bistro has missed the overall marks.

Always have a great meal at the Tin Roof. Had our wedding reception there and it was awesome. Of course, since I love to cook, I had to try to make the brussel sprouts at home. Now I make them all the time. I always wear a plaid shirt there so I can try to sneak into the kitchen...

Always busy, but always delicious. The patio is quieter and quite nice in the warmer months. Good variety of appetizers and entrees to please almost anyone. Almost every dish we've tried has been tasty and enjoyable. The little desserts are terrific and just the right size for one. Good corkage policy.

The Tin Roof Bistro is a solid surprise. The menu isn't long including the appetizers, soups/salads, pizzas, entrees and mini-desserts. I stuck with small dishes since including the brussel sprouts, squash ravioli. Also in hand was a good-sized drink menu with various wines, beers and cocktails to choose from. We also had the pumpkin cheesecake mini dessert. Parking-wise, there are ample amounts of parking ( nearby and some wait time during the mid-week. Also, the area is pretty loud in the 'rush hour' busy-ness so just be aware. The Tin Roof Bistro was a great little surprise.

Our waitress was just a plain b*tch, and that is the reason for 2 stars. I think that she thinks she works at a higher class restaurant than this is. I had on a t-shirt and believe she took my girlfriend and I to be of a lower class. She described specials in detail with our neighbors, but not us. When my date asked about the spring rolls, she replied with, "they're good." She liked to give one-word answers and we felt like meat that she was packaging and just sending on down the line, leaving the check on the table along with the meal. Is this Waffle House? Sorry, honey, but your restaurant is located in a mall parking lot with average prices, small portions, and over-flavored sauce on the lamb. The plaid shirts that the staff wears is a poor attempt at their "country chic" image. The waitress even tried to use the word "y'all." We were visiting from Georgia and can spot a fake 'y'all' a mile away, another reason for 2 stars. I gave her 15% and think that was generous, along with 2 stars.

Arugula pizza is not good, flat bread with curry type dipping sauce is good. Had the special recently, soft shell crab salad, pretty good! This place is big, but gets busy so make reservations. Their cocktails are pretty good too (ask for the special). Seems like a nice restaurant but people wear flip flops in there?!
