Several things have been happening in my life that have put my writing on hold for now. My 92-year-old mother has had a stroke and is in rehab. I appreciate all of my readers and will keep you updated. Thanks for your continued prayers.

Haiku and Historical Facts and Fashion
The Southern Pines Mystery series begins in July of 1946. Many things of interest happened in that year that I thought worth sharing. Historical Facts, July 1st - 6th, 1946 July 1st: US drops atom bomb on Bikini atoll July 4th - Anti Jewish riots in Kielce ...
Interestingly, Louis Reard named his swimsuit after the Bikini atoll. Not surprisingly, the bikini was a success at its debut, especially among the men. Read more about it here. Most swimsuits in the 1940s looked like this: That's our history and fashion lesson for the day! Haiku, Day 3 and 4 ...

Story
Introduction

I was raised an Army brat and lived many places,  settling in south Alabama thirty years ago. I taught middle school science for nineteen years, and I'm now retired at the age of 58.

Retirement has enabled me to pursue my dream of becoming a writer.

My husband is a poultry farmer. We have two grown sons, a wonderful daughter-in-law, and a blessing of grandkids.

I like to think of myself as eclectic. But, then again, I'm probably just ADD with a little OCD thrown in for good measure!
