Dim sum, sushi and cocktails in elaborate Indian-chic setting with wood carvings and open kitchen.- Google
"Reminds me of Tao in New York. Great cocktail list, and food options."
"The decor is exquisite, wood carvings everywhere."

Sadly Gilgamesh is not what it once was. I took a friend for birthday drinks, and was very disappointed, especially with the quality of service. We were there for approximately an hour and a half, and were completely ignored by the waiting staff. To order anything, I had to go to the bar. The only interaction we had with passing staff was the sudden removal of the happy hour cocktail menu a good ten minutes before happy hour was over. The waitress did not ask us if we wished to order. When our drinks came, my friend was quite happy with his, but mine was a little rough and I could not detect many of the ingredients it was supposed to have in it. The decor is still nice, but not enough to make up for the lack of service. When seated I noticed that many of the air vents overhead were dirty. The ladies toilets were in an unpleasant state; two were blocked and at least four others had no paper in them. They were plastered with crude laminated signs advising patrons to flush. In sum, when I pay £15 for a single drink, I expect it to be good, I expect staff to be polite and attentive, and I expect the facilities to be clean. In addition we were charged £4.75 for a bottle of water, and a further charge, possibly for 'service' - of which we received none - was added to our bill. We decided not to eat there, and I will not be returning. There are cocktail bars in Leicester which are far superior.

Good event venue. Came here for work and they were very accommodating.

Horrendously rude staff. Food was passable but ridiculously overpriced. An attempt to bring Mayfair to Camden, and it's as bad as that sounds. The worst.

Very rude. One manager and one waiter talking face to face didn't even notice my wife waiting patiently for about a minute and a half. And when they eventually realised. They literally just moved her out of their way as if my wife was obstructing them. And not a single apology. Never Again Too expensive. No big deal. Just very plain, bland dishes

Went to Gilgamesh on a date night. After having high expectations, it was a complete and utter let down. We were left waiting for 15minutes before we even ordered drinks. When our starter arrived it was wrong, we then were left waiting again for over an hour and a half for our mains; by the time it arrived we were no longer hungry and ready to leave. To top it off, the only compensation we received was an apology and 2 drinks taken off of our bill. The manager tried to say that our ticket had been blown away by the wind in the kitchen, true or not it takes the piss when people who arrived after us had their food and the bill before we had ours. A complete disaster, will certainly not be returning or recommending this place to even my worst enemy.

It was good... but it was very dark in there, I couldn't read the menu because of the loan of light!
