An amazingly decked out place...but lacked good hearty welcome...it was clear to see the service was trained try'd and tested...but our food took forever..drinks were forgotten...and we had our meal paid for...(not groupon) actually a dining experience evening out which really was an experience...#segregation lol...the waiter had forgotten to add something on to the bill...and we were called back in lol....all in all worth going once for the "hype" but i doubt ill ever come back

We attended on a Saturday evening at 6pm on a groupon voucher. As expected, we were sat in a section with many other groupon diners, filling the early evening covers with the groupon voucher. So here's the breakdown: Service: Ordered a bottle of wine, which was spilled by the waitress on my boyfriend's menu. The wet menu was dried with no apology. Our waiter was friendly but the managerial staff seemed to be in a constant rush and were running between tightly squeezed together tables. One even knocked our table twice (again without an apology) and nearly knocked my glass over. Wine: We ordered a £30 bottle of Malbec. Expecting a strong red wine we were delivered something very watery. I notified a manager that it was weak and watery and that it not seem right. The reply was 'ok' with no solution offered. I then had to provide this by asking if we could swap the wine. I changed to a Pulgia red once this was agreed by the manager. However service was slow and therefore we received our replacement wine once we had nearly finished our main course. We ended up drinking the wine by itself with out desserts. Food: Having heard good things we were very disappointed. Seems like both waiting staff and chefs knew we were there on a groupon voucher and therefore were not provided with the standard that I have heard is good at Gilgamesh. Summary: I think their strategy for groupon vouchers is not to acquire new customers who come back to dine again, but simply one time diners who will dine early on the vouchers T&Cs and then not come back due to the poor service. I won't be going back and as we left and were waiting for our coats, we heard another diner stating she was spoken to rudely and aggressively and seems she too won't be going back. What a shame.

Went on a Sunday and had a lovely time. We were seated quickly and the guy on the door was very pleasant. The waiting staff were all attentive and our waiter was friendly and offered his own recommendations on the menu. The food was incredible. Perfectly cooked and seasoned, the flavours were all just right for the dishes, nothing too overwhelming and nothing too subtle. As a group of 4 we all had something different and no-one was disappointed. The decor was beautiful, and the whole place was very relaxing, you almost had no idea that Camden high-street was just outside. Great time, great food and great place.

Went to a private event held at Gilgamesh and the organisation and service looked perfect. Unfortunately I didn't make it time to have the food they were offering but as a place to host an event such as a birthday party it really does a fantastic job!

15 of us went here for my friends birthday last Saturday, it was packed and the service was great. Food was amazing and drinks were very good. Went to the club after and the music was good. the only thing i can fault about this place is that they need more bar staff, 1 bar man to a whole bar is not OK. waited 20 minutes to be served!!!

I found my experience to be very confusing. Not only were we being served by 6 different waiters, but the pan Asian food, middle Eastern decor along with the loud house music left me feeling lost. Our table was in the middle of the restaurant which was very busy and the space was tight so we had a constant flow of people walking alongside our table on either side. The food was good if you ignore the painful price tag attached. If blind folded im uncertain if it would beat my local Asian restaurant. The rice was under cooked but the waiter did not acknowledge my comment on this. Overall, a disappointing experience if you want to eat somewhere that has a bit of soul, identity or character. Good if you want to splash out and have an eccentric typically expensive London night followed by a night of cocktails and clubbing.

I bought a Groupon to try the place out... What a major disappointment. They underdelivered in pretty much all respects. Portions are scarce, Food is substandard for what you pay, service was slow. Atmosphere is nice though. If they allow me to bring a carry in next time from the local kebab shop and just sit and have it while the garlic sauce drips on their expensive wooden chairs, I might consider coming back.

Amazing Décor but the food is serious let down. You enter up the escalator into a sea of carved wooded furniture and an absolute fortune spent on the visual experience. Unfortunately no one bothered to make sure the food is good. A great looking menu with a wide variety of the orient but the chefs need a lesson in culinary skills, namely flavour balancing. The entire philosophy of East Asian cooking in balance of textures and tastes; sweet, salty, sour etc. Apparently Gilgamesh decided to ignore this and just go for one at a time. The 'crispy' chicken wings were particularly appalling. They were so sweet it might as-well been caramel mixed with 5 spice and for the 'crispy' I believe they may have their own definition of this... If I can give them a saving grace it is that of the cocktails. Not bad. I definitely would not recommend eating here but may be worth grabbing a cocktail and taking in the ambiance if you like the photos!
