Technical Writer - Sports Hub (Bath)
Permanent contract

As Technical Writer you’ll be delivering reviews and news of the best cycling gear on the planet for the biggest-selling magazines and websites in this sector. Working as part of the product and testing hub team you’ll test and review bikes and products and create product related content for use across Future’s cycling portfolio including, Cycling Plus, Procycling, Triathlon Plus, MBUK, What Mountain Bike, and a range of specials and Bookazines. You’ll organise for the kit to be delivered ready to test, shoot photography, perform video voiceovers and to-camera pieces about bikes and kit as directed. You’ll also have the chance to travel internationally to attend product launches.

You’ll have an in-depth knowledge of road and mountain bikes, cycling technology and the market. Work experience within the bike industry or evidence of participation in cycling is needed. An excellent level of written English is required for the role and you’ll preferably have some experience of writing for magazines, websites or newspapers. Strong organisational and planning skills are needed for the role as well as the ability to work to tight deadlines. You’ll be able to work as part of a team as well as under your own initiative. Experience of building strong relationships is needed alongside great communication skills.
