I love mike's. I love the pizza (hot and spicy 4tw!), the wings, and the atmosphere. Mike's is the only place on Boston I know that manages to be homy and inexpensive without both sucking and attracting a bunch of assholes.

Many places have come and gone in the last 37 years but i have enjoyed the neighborhood atmosphere at Mike's. This is not a tourist trap and there are plenty of them in the area. Plenty of fad stores have come and gone like Steve's Ice Cream. Walk around the back to Sessas' Italian store. The only other place that has a long successful history is Christophers if you want upscale but the whole area has lost its character to concrete and stone. Parking has always been nonexistent.

Yummy affordable food with a lovely view of Davis Square. Nice variety of sports on the TV screens.

Delicious meat lasagna and craft beers. Italian American comfort food. Ideal for students. Good food low prices. 1 minute walk from Davis Square MBTA red line station. Eat a heavy meal here and then join New Year's Eve parties for drinking.

Great food for the price. The home made mozerella ravioli were delicious. Good place for take out dinner or come here to enjoy a game with friends.

You don't come to Mike's for the food. You come for the beer. And the food somehow winds up in your mouth. Cheap pitchers! This is our go-to pregaming spot if we want to drink on the cheap in a public setting. There's outdoor seating on nice days, and its prime location provides great views of the weirdos of Davis Square. The menu is extensive, and I'm always pretty overwhelmed by all the options. Everything I've tried had just been all right. It obviously tastes better with beer. They deem that the pastas are "homemade" but based on taste, I doubt it. I've also ordered the "small" chicken parm calzone, and that baby provided a filling dinner as well as my next 2 lunches. Be forewarned that a calzone is a commitment.. it takes about 20 minutes to cook. So don't down your beer too fast while you wait. The place can get crowded and chaotic, and the service isn't the friendliest. Especially when you show up with a drunk, hungry friend 15 minutes before closing time on a weekend. They will deny your friend most of the items she tries to order because "there isn't enough time to prepare them." And then they will kick you out before she's done scarfing her slice down. With that said, I consider this place a Davis institution. Cheap beer and hot, carb-loaded dishes are sometimes all you want. And Mike's delivers them with character.

Hands down the best place in Davis. Love the pizza, the 32oz beers, and the prices. Keep up the good work Mike's.
