Attention females: Let’s put this myth to bed forever. Lifting weights will strengthen your body. Resistance training will help you lose fat and boost your metabolism so you burn fat when you sleep. This style of training will boost your energy. You will NOT bulk up... simply because you don’t have enough testosterone. Oftentimes females do resistance training and, simply put, consume too many extra calories. Anybody who consumes more calories than is necessary to maintain athletic levels of bodyfat... will “bulk up” (aka gain bodyfat). So embrace the weights and practice mindful nutrition habits.
