Anyone have recommendations how to get more than 8 hours of moderate use out of the Galaxy LIVE before the battery is completely drained?  I have the brightness setting on "4" and the screen dims when not in use.  It's kind of pathetic that this is the kind of battery life this device provides.

+Ron Epstein If you aren't aware, you can turn the watch screen off in settings. Even though the face is normally dimmed, it still must draw a lot of power throughout the day. Try turning the screen off and when you touch it or receive a notification, then it will turn on. I hope that Android adds the ability to shake the watch to turn it on (like the Pebble Watch has). I hope that helps.

Tried using the link to download READY after joining this community.  No go.  How do I get the app?  Not appearing in Play Store even after joining here

Have 1Weather app installed.  It's pushing notifications -- but so is Google Now weather.  Any way to cancel Google Now weather notifications without disrupting the rest of Google Now's notification functions?

I had the same issue with music. Downloaded Music Boss for Wear, so now I get 2 notifications for music on watch. If I turn off Play Music notifications then I lose the notificatification on the lock screen and the pull down notifications on home screen. Catch-22 is right, +Ron Epstein

Just bought a Galaxy Live.  Could have gone with the more popular Gear 2 and Neo phones but I think Android Wear has the brightest future.

QUESTION...

Why do only some notifications (but not most) cause my watch to vibrate?  Alerts from Facebook vibrate my watch, but things like Weather cards and email alerts do not.  Any way to make all alerts vibrate?

It's something that's up to the devs. Check with them to see if you have any options in that area.

Also, does your app vibrate on your phone for a notification? I had this after flashing a new ROM where I didn't check "Vibrate" in Gmail. Irritated me to no end, then I found out that I was an idiot.

I used to praise Ninette's as being the absolute best pizza around. However, quietly, it seems that new ownership took over within the past year or so. The pizza is lackluster, to say the least. It's as if the new owners cut corners in quality. The pizza is oily, doesn't have much substance to it, and is nothing like the great pies this restaurant used to make. Actually, I had hoped I got a bad pizza the first time I saw things went bad. However, just after bringing home a pie today, I realized that the drop in quality is consistent. Not going back to Ninette's again.

A last minute change in plans brought us to the Short Hills Hilton for New Years eve. We didn't necessarily want to have our celebration dinner at the hotel restaurant, but all the other restaurants had no reservations available. Generally, the last thing anyone wants to do is to dine at a hotel restaurant. However, I was optimistic that THE DINING ROOM would change my perspective completely. I was wrong. As you would expect, the choices on the menu are limited and overpriced for what you get. The portions are small -- particularly the appetizers which are very scant in quantity. We had several appetizers that we shared: Pork Belly, Melted Cheese Bread, Shrimp and Scallops. It hardly fed our group of five, and the price for the appetizers was rather expensive. The entrees were fairly good. Most of us had the cowboy steak which was cooked the way we wanted, with butter on top. The steak cost $45 which is a bit expensive, but then again, look where we were. Someone in our group had the Mac and Cheese and thought that was quite good as well. I think the worst part of our experience was the lack of attention by the waiting staff. First of all, being New Years Eve, very few staff people at that hotel looked as if they wanted to be there. Saying hello and wishing them a Happy New Year brought a mumbled reply. What was really frustrating for us was the service in THE DINING ROOM. At first, when we arrived at 7:30pm, the place was empty. However, an hour or so later, only a few tables were occupied (most people were smart and ate elsewhere) and yet the staff couldn't handle what they had on hand. We were handed a dessert menu and it took 30 minutes for the waiter to even return to our table to take our order. Not many people in the place, and he was walking around completely ignoring our group who were sitting at the table staring into space. So you know what? We decided not to get dessert after all. Yet, we had to sit an additional 5 minutes until I could flag our waiter down and get our check. So, as others have pointed out, this place is just average in food quality. High in price and poor in service. Really, make plans elsewhere and if you get stuck eating here, I hope you can make the best of it and get better service than we were provided with.

Have to be honest here. I have never used Enterprise. I am a preferred member with Avis. The only reason I chose Enterprise in Shrewsbury was due to the fact that they are the only rental center in the area that offers luxury vehicles. I decided to take a leap of faith and reserve a luxury vehicle for my roadtrip to Canada. I went to the facility a few months ahead of planned departure and talked with Norman Kyle. I was told that although I would be offered a vehicle, there was no promise of brand or model. Being a Cadillac owner, I really wanted a Cadillac. For weeks I pestered Mr. Kyle to assist in locating me one. Lo' and behold, he was able to snag me the very vehicle I wanted. To top things off, since I live in the immediate area, I was picked up and dropped off from my home. This made me feel very secure since I did not have to leave my own vehicle at their facility during my trip. If there is anything negative to be said about my experience it would be the fact that Enterprise only charges a weekly rate for a luxury vehicle and limited mileage (1200 miles, I think). However, miraculously, I was able to bring the vehicle back without going over the mileage limits and incurring extra charges. I must say, I was very impressed with the care I received at Enterprise, particularly from Kyle Norman. I plan to do this trip again next year and will seek another luxury vehicle from their location.

I travel quite frequently on business. There are occasions where I prefer a car service rather than driving to the airport on my own. For most of my business years, I had been using a competing car service company out of Middletown, NJ. I knew all their drivers and really loved the service they provided. However, when that company was taken over more than a year ago and the drivers were all let go, I decided to end my relationship with them. Enter Concorde Worldwide. I used their service for the first time in December of 2013. There were several problems that occurred with my reservation, partly due to the fact that the company had recently changed hands and there were communication issues. Another had to do with weather related problems. Speaking with the owner, Jeff, he was sympathetic to the problems that occurred with my reservation. He did everything he could to make things right. That act alone, gave me a very high impression of a company that was willing to go to great lengths to ensure their clients were satisfied. Because of the manner in which the owners made good on a problematic reservation, Concorde will become my exclusive mode for transportation for my personal or business needs. From experience, I can tell you that their cars are vey clean. The drivers are very friendly. They arrive to your door earlier than the appointment just to ensure they are on time. They have both SUVs and Lincoln Town Cars available for your travel needs. Rest assured this is not a phony review. I am completely happy with Concorde given the manner in which they have treated me when things did not originally go as expected. That's the kind of company you want to deal with.

My first time at Elsie's and I have been living in the Red Bank area all my life. I decided, from multiple lackluster experiences with Jersey Mikes Subs, that I would try and find a new sub shop. I was tired of overpriced sub sandwiches that were mostly bread. Welcome to the world of Jersey Mikes. Walked into Elsie's this morning an hour prior to the lunch crowd. The place was empty, which was nice since I wanted to avoid waiting in line. Wasn't sure where to park. Put a quarter in the meter just outside the store. The woman behind the counter was very nice. We talked about the winter weather as she prepared my sandwiches. I ordered two Roast Beef BLTs (one half, one whole). When I got home to share the meal with my Mother, we were both greatly impressed by the quality of the sandwich. Bread was very fresh -- crispy outside and chewy body. A good amount of Roast Beef was laid upon the sandwich. It definitely was a much better sub than what I usually got at Jersey Mikes. Have to say I enjoyed the service, speaking with the woman behind the counter, and the great set of sandwiches that she made. I wouldn't say this is cheaper than Jersey Mikes or other places, but I believe one gets a better quality sub all around.
