So, I'm definitely going to make the D6xD6 core rules either OGL or CC. Designers & publishers I admire fall on both sides, though most go OGL by default. I'm leaning toward CC myself, but welcome your thoughts and advice. (Some of you may ask, "What's taken you so long?" See "State of the Smithy" on my blog for insight into why I'm slower nowadays.)

Played in my first game of Microscope last night. It went great. We are planning on continuing that history in the future and I'll be ordering a copy of Microscope Explorer this weekend. It was surprising how quickly we developed a unique and dynamic history in just a few hours.

I'm updating the playing card add-on! Anyone who adds the $9 card decks to their backer support will ALSO get the PDF deck files (featuring a single card per page). This format should work best for anyone who wants to use the cards with Roll20 or other similar virtual tabletop programs.

One of the most fascinating things about the Possibility Wars is the idea that this is a war of territory that is held not just by force, but by ideas.  In my two campaigns, we never really got into reclaiming territory via story seeds and playing glory cards, but I always wanted to.  For that to work though you really need a way to track what is being held.  Mercator projection maps distort the world so much that I've always felt a globe would be better, but didn't know of one that I could write on.  But thanks to the Internet that is no longer true.  Linking below the dry erase globe I'm ordering.

My thinking is that a 14" globe will still be too small to keep track of every stelae boundary, but I can easily put vague realm boundaries in there, showing where the reality storm fronts are, and as those are pretty obvious to Core Earth satellites and planes, they are probably fine to reveal to players.

I'm sure there are online or application maps or even globes that you could use for the same purpose, marking them up with stelae boundaries and other information, both for the player and GM, but I haven't really looked yet.  Link if you know of one you like, or tell me how you have tracked this sort of thing in your campaign.
