Bare Bulb + Shot Into Camera = Lens Flare Goodness A crucial part of what gives this image mood is the lens flare on the left side. Lens flares can be a great way of adding pizzazz to an image, but only when used correctly. Always try creating them in camera, because that will always […]

The results look amazing, but he’s working on moving footage in a program totally different than photoshop! Today we’re going to show you how [...]

What is a gobo, you ask? A gobo can be anything, as long as it’s placed in between a light source and your subject.

In fact, you may have used them before without even knowing it. Even a tree branch casting a shadow from the sun on your subject’s face is a gobo!

+Marcel Bauer pretty sure it's a shortened version of "go before" or the like. It's used a lot in stage lighting and film sets.

Check out how we used lighting to make this picture amazing!

Behind The Scenes: Shaping A Scene With Light For this portrait, we wanted something that looked natural while telling a story. We discovered this old piano in a separate room of the theater we were shooting in and thought it would make a great shot. By adding the notebook and pen to the scene, we [...]

Did you know that you can use layer blending modes in #photoshop to push your photos to the limit? Check out how you can add major pizzazz to an image in only 20 minutes.

http://phlearn.com/how-to-stylize-a-portrait-using-layer-blending-modes-in-photoshop
How To Stylize A Portrait Using Layer Blending Modes In Photoshop Sometime you get a great image from a shoot, but it just doesn’t have enough pizzaz straight out of the camera. It may look like the image below was taken with extremely punchy lighting, but a lot of the stylization was done in Photoshop [...]

Today we're doing something a bit different and manipulating tree branches to form a word! Join us as we remove branches and even create some from scratch. We HOPE you like this tutorial!

Create Words From Branches Using The Clone Stamp Today we’re going to be making the branches in this image look like the word “hope”. This will be quite the challenge, as we’re going to have to bend some branches, remove some, and even create some from scratch. We’ll start by using the liquify tool to [...]
