My family is obsessed with basketball. From the Warriors game on in the background when I call my mom, to my brother playing point guard in college, my sister coaching in Denver, and my dad’s weekday sports report on the radio in Mendocino County. It’s like walking into mini ESPN headquarters whenever I visit. My …

‘To me, the Seventies were very inspirational and very influential. With my whole persona as Snoop Dogg, as a person, as a rapper. I just love the Seventies style, the way all the players dressed nice, you know, kept their hair looking good, drove sharp cars and they talked real slick.’ – Snoop Dogg I …

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you’re enjoying at least 24 hours off for family time or a home-cooked meal. I won’t be home in California this year having Apple Gobbler (pictured above), but I’ll be celebrating from Switzerland. And in Switzerland, every Sunday is like Thanksgiving used to be in America. Families and friends spend quality …

A decade ago I had started my first job in San Francisco. My first 9-5 after college. You know it takes time to adjust. A few months after adapting to cubicle life, I discovered a new website called Popsugar. It was celeb gossip, fashion and the perfect escape when I had a 10 min break …

New post!
We spent the past 2 weeks in California and jam-packed our schedule with weddings, Wilhelmina’s baptism, family time, a fashion show, plus back and forth trips from Ukiah to San Francisco. Needless to say, our first trip to America with a new baby added a few kinks to our typically carefree California getaways. Last weekend, …

The past 6 days have been tough. I’ve felt every emotion from sadness to fear and beyond. I’m sure it doesn’t help that I’ve been tuning into CNN and SkyNews LIVE for hours each day since the Paris attacks. The breaking news as we were finishing up dinner last Friday night in Switzerland was horrifying! …

For all #Starbucks lovers in Europe...
What is your favorite coffee spot? After living in Switzerland nearly three years, I find myself visiting Starbucks almost daily when I’m out and about or meeting friends. ‘This is so lame I’m going to Starbucks again,’ I thought yesterday. Yet, I made a beeline for the Seattle based chain passing by charming Swiss cafes …

“Don’t you wish you could take a single childhood memory and blow it up into a bubble and live inside it forever?” – Sarah Addison Allen, Lost Lake My answer to that is ‘no.‘ Although, Halloween night as a kid surrounded by a pumpkin shaped bucket of Twizzlers, mini Snickers and Starburst is tempting to …

Vroom, vroom! I’m so glad I didn’t have to learn to drive in Germany because I would have been terrified as a teen on the Autobahn in my ’89 Accord. (Remember your first ride?) Over the weekend, we drove from Zurich to Frankfurt, Germany to visit my in-laws. I was behind the wheel as we …

I have gone to Copy World for over 5 years and continue to have the BEST service and quality when I print flyers, cards, or marketing material. Amir is so helpful and friendly and makes sure the order is perfect. We just printed nearly 30K coupons and the quality of the color and paper was perfect. Thanks Copy World!

I've been going to Merry Manicures for almost 10 years and now whenever I visit San Francisco I always go back. A mani/pedi is such a good deal and Mary is so friendly and remembers everyone's name and does a perfect job. I usually find street parking or it's a quick ride from Union Sq. in a taxi. I used to go nearly every week when I lived in SF. :)
