Now I get what everyone meant when they said, ‘once you have a baby, everything changes.’ I’m happy to announce we welcomed our little girl, Wilhelmina Janée, over the weekend on Saturday night in Switzerland – and it’s been quite an experience. First of all, the Swiss really know how to welcome new mothers! They have …

When I first started blogging a few years ago, I wrote this ‘Father’s Day‘ post from above with  childhood flashbacks and 5 Reasons to Mail a Letter to a Loved One. While I haven’t always appreciated my dads gifts like ‘Household Helpers‘ as a toddler or random pieces of trivia he loved to share, especially …

Remember procrastinating for school projects feeling stressed out as the deadline approached? I feel like I have 3 weeks to squeeze in every summer task on my to-do list before the baby arrives because from what I’ve heard, read and seen with friends is that ‘EVERYTHING CHANGES’ once the baby gets here. While I’m definitely …

On the blog this weekend...
It’s the weekend – time to ‘Party Like a Rock Star!’ Or in my case ‘Pop Star.’ And by that, I just mean a blogger who’s about to pop. When we found out I was expecting, I decided to wait until the 2nd trimester to start telling people I was pregnant. But there was one …

‘A piece of clothing should be like a work of art.’ - Rosita Missoni This quote definitely makes sense coming from one of the founders of the high-end Italian fashion house known for its iconic zig-zag designs. While I agree with the quote, my wardrobe is a mix of a mini selection of ‘fine’ art …

I just wanted to quickly share our Savvy Sleepers annual Mother’s Day Sale going on this entire week because we have so many women who tell us stories about their mom or grandma who always slept on a satin pillow case for her skin and hair. It’s a classic beauty secret and we want to …

The official start to summer is only a week away! As I tried fall asleep late last night, I had to roll my tired eyes when I clicked a Harpers Bazaar article stating, ‘6 Summer Trends to Try Now.’ Followed by lace, nautical, silver accessories and pom pom embellishments was an ‘earth-shattering’ summer 2015 trend …

A ‘staycation is a period in which an individual or family stays home and participates in leisure activities within driving distance, sleeping in their own beds at night,’ according to wikipedia. That’s exactly what we’ve been up to lately as my due date approaches and one of my husband’s worst fears is being hours from …

Living in Europe is a big change, and being married to a European has its differences too as you could imagine. Over the weekend, my husband’s childhood friend from school in Germany was visiting when the BIG sports story about Tom Brady popped up on our Apple TV. ‘Who is Tom Brady and what is …

Vegas without a hangover? Earlier this month when I was visiting my family in Nor-Cal, we took a short mid-week trip to Vegas. A bit of business and fun so I invited my mom and sister who were both on Spring break from teaching at a local college and elementary school. I thought a pre-Mother’s …

I've been going to Merry Manicures for almost 10 years and now whenever I visit San Francisco I always go back. A mani/pedi is such a good deal and Mary is so friendly and remembers everyone's name and does a perfect job. I usually find street parking or it's a quick ride from Union Sq. in a taxi. I used to go nearly every week when I lived in SF. :)
