A note for those who are using Quickly to create their applications for the #ubuntuappshowdown : Packages built using `quickly package` (or any of the related commands, like `share` and `release` run a risk of not being accepted by the review board at this time. The reason being that quickly overwrites certain package files (more specifically, control, copyright and rules) with auto-generated ones, which have some problems.
Especially if you are using any third-party content (creative-commons icons, various libraries, etc.), this will be a problem, since your copyright file won't contain any information about those things, and if you add it manually, it will be overwritten as soon as you build a package.
If you're interested, you can check out the mailing list I linked to. For now, just wait and see if they come up with a solution.

No, this has nothing to do with not getting accepted. It's just a glitch in quickly (and its underlying technologies). We will fix the problems and work around them in the meantime.Jul 5, 2012
+Tommy Brunn note that for the majority of apps, packages created with Quickly will work. It is only for packages with special requirements that you'll need to manually tweak the packaging control files.
Autogeneration of packaging control files is a feature, not a bug. If there would be any serious bug or important notification for app developers participating in the contest, we would publish it on the developer.ubuntu.com blog, so this is nothing to worry about for now.Jul 5, 2012
We will work it out. Everybody can go and just concentrate on getting their apps working nicely.Jul 5, 2012
+David Planella can you have another look at http://askubuntu.com/questions/159527/application-does-not-start-after-installing-running-quickly-run-works-perfect I've edited my comment. Many thanks again. :)Jul 5, 2012
+David Planella was there an official update regarding this issue - http://askubuntu.com/questions/156339/launchpad-failed-to-build-after-quickly-submitubuntu ? It seems like that's one that would be stopping everybody.Jul 5, 2012
Can't you just do "debuild" or "debuild -S -sa && dput ppa:<somewhere>", then "bzr revert"? I don't see why that won't work.Jul 5, 2012
