Prices were gnarly and the food was mediocre. I wouldn't go there again. The service was super slow. We went on December night when they had a special ice skating menu that included your ticket to the rink. I won't be doing that again. I wouldn't even go on a regular night. I had the fish tacos and they were not that good... My friends all had something different and none of them were satisfied with their meal (there were 6 of us total). It's at the LA live, so expect to pay crazy prices for parking. I try to avoid this area as much as possible because it's just too watered down and over priced. There are so many other places in LA that have better/funner things to do and eat.

I am still ambivalent about Rock N Fish. I want to like it but a couple of things need to be cleaned up before I do. First, the HH is good - as advertised on their website. The website says that during HH, all draft beer are $5. However, when I get to the bar to request a beer on draft, I am told that only certain beers on draft are part of the HH. During one of my visits, their signage outside advertising a surf n' turf brought me in. I ordered this special and when the dish came out soon after I regretted having ordered this dish. The surf n' turn was visually unappealing. The sides really did not compliment the protein. Moreover, the steak was not a good cut and ill-seasoned. Honestly, the steak tasted like carne asada. As for the lobster tail, it had the frozen taste. Again, I really want to like RNF, but first, their HH needs to be cleaned up and their dishes need better execution.

This Rock'n Fish doesn't quite hold up to the location in Manhattan Beach. The decor is solid, the location good (right in LA Live), but the service and food is on the mediocre side. It can feel a bit rushed and discombobulated in here - my gut is because of the pure volume of people that are in LA Live on busy nights. You'd think it'd be better during the day when it's slow, but then service and food delivery is not as fast as you'd expect. Add to that the last time I went I had a couple small fruit flies buzzing around my food... If you're itching to eat at Rock'n Fish and you're up for a drive, I suggest you hit the Manhattan Beach location over this one.

Rating for Drinks Only: I gave them a 5-Star rating because this restaurant supports local craft breweries such as Angel City and Golden Road Brewing Company. As for the food, my rating wood be 2 Stars. My Blackened Salmon had bones in it! Server was friendly but the restroom was dirty.

I'm here on business, meaning I have disposable income, and after having a couple drinks across the street from Rock'n Fish we headed over there for dinner and upon asking the hostess for a table for two at 9:20 pm she told us they were closed. The google maps/website both say that they close at 10 pm, and I would consider 40 minutes to closing more than adequate time to make dinner and allow us to eat and leave by 10 pm if not shortly after. Not to mention there were people sitting there eating all over the restaurant. As someone that comes to the area once monthly on business I will obviously be taking my money and customers elsewhere.

We had reservations for 7:45 however the manager Tony took us in early and sat us. My only complaint would be that the mashed potatoes were luke warm and not hot. The rest of the food was hot and very very good. The service was very good and the ambiance was outstanding.
