Hillbilly Heaven was on of the best places in Hamilton for quality and quantity. Take out portions were amazing! There was always guaranteed leftovers. Until, they signed up for a little show, called Restaurant Makeover that told them to shrink their portions. While the food is still fantastic, It unfortunately is not worth ordering delivery anymore.

Went here one weekend with friends in April. The restaurant is very nice and in a good location downtown. The food is nothing special. The food served is very dry for a bbq place. We had to use ketchup to make the food taste better. That's how bad it was. Also, I noticed that the manager was yelling at his workers to go faster. If that's how he treats his workers, I would never support this restaurant. Overall, I have to rate this restaurant from service and quality of food. It would be 1 star out of 5. Not recommended at all.

I was not impressed at all. First of all, i was served by 2 greasy haired teenagers that looked as if they hadn't showered in a month. When I asked for a suggestion (my first time), the cashier guy looked at me as if I was from a different planet and just gave me a blank stare. I ordered the pulled chicken sandwich. After I paid for it, I decided that I wanted to try the chile. So I ordered a small. What did he do, he pulled a styro foam container from under the counter and said "here you go". What? the chile was "pre-packaged' and just sitting on a hot plate. This is gross. Now the chicken sandwich: the bun was chewy and a little on the stale side. The chicken was dried out and had an awful 'fake' smoke flavour. The menu said that it came with nacho chips, I saw no-name brand plain ripple chips on my plate. I threw everything out. 15 bucks for this, I'm not a happy camper.

LOVE this place. Not fancy, but the best pulled pork, pulled chicken, and beef brisket i've tasted!! (and i've tried places all over canada and usa) if you want something quick and tasty, go here!! Suggestion: while you aren't a fancy place and your sign states that you don't serve these, to make your restaurant even more popular, perhaps implementing fresh cut fries instead of prepackaged chips!! everything else is so authentic and tasty, why not add this to your menu ? :)
