Introduction

I've always loved writing, and I feel lucky to have made it my career. After a less-than-auspicious beginning, which involved editing a lifelong seafarer's thousand-page political manifesto, I paid my dues at a content farm and wrote marketing and web copy for several successful companies. Much of my work has appeared on The CMO Site and Educational IT. I'm now Executive Editor for EnterpriseNetworkingPlanet.com.

For over two years, I also worked at the English tutorial center at San Diego City College, where I developed a series of tutor and student writing resources, trained new tutors, and worked with students at all levels to improve their reading comprehension and academic writing. In my spare time, I write short fiction and struggle with my novel. I'm also a decent cook and a pretty good mommy.
