One of the best atmospheres in all of Boulder. Love the vibe. Now to the beer: I really hope this lands well but the beer is middle of the road and has room to improve. Boulder Valley has an incredible beer scene with both world class quality and quantity. Their Belgians need to be refined (12deg is the status quo of outstanding Belgians nearby), their IPAs need more character both on the nose and pallet. I like their black IPA and think it holds up to Wookey Jack and their Citra Lager is a good drinking lager. hope they can continue to improve

really digged the atmosphere, cocktails were nice, pretty good wine list for Boulder and I thought their food was on par with Oak (which is a strong endorsement). Wish the menu had more depth , though

Having lived in San Francisco for four years, I am knocking Frasca as "OK" but absolutely not worth the money. There are two cook books in the men's restroom (oddly enough) that I noticed: Flour and Water and SPQR. These are arguably the best modern Italian places in San Francisco and those which Frasca makes a nod to as peers. They are in a different class of quality of food (especially flour and water) and 1/4 of the price. While the service and wine selection were 5/5 stars I just cannot get on board with the food for the price point. IMO Oak is the best restaurant in Boulder right now (and much more reasonable than Frasca's prices).
