This new addition to our bookshelves is a beautiful, adorable story for rainy day reading.
In the midst of winter, in a gray gray town, Annabelle finds a box of very colorful yarn that seems to never run out, no matter how many sweaters she knits!! The whole town is wearing something bright (including pick up trucks!), when a rich archduke arrives wanting the magical box for himself...

ESIO TROT!!
A very cute short story about a lonely man who woos his downstairs neighbor by "helping her tortoise grow." Alfie is Mrs. Silver's beloved pet tortoise, but she is frustrated that in all the years she has cared for him, he has only gained 3 ounces in weight. She is concerned that being on the titchy small side will harm Alfie's confidence. Mr. Hoppy comes up with a brilliant master plan to make Alfie magically grow to impress Mrs. Silver, but will it work?
Fun for ages 8+

Found this place using the Google Offers deal and we have gone back a couple times since. Most of our friends who have kids don't live nearby, so we'll drop by here, pick up some toys and be the cool aunty and uncle. They have a great selection of toys and the staff is generally passionate about their product. Definitely worth stopping in and checking out!

We received a wooden shopping cart as a gift from our family who lives in Portland from this store. Unfortunately, as things happen, part of it was broken. I called the store and asked what to do. The manager called me right back, asked me what part was broken and what she could do to remedy the situation. We decided we only needed part of the cart to make things right. That was yesterday. The part was on our doorstep this morning. Now I call that Customer Service!!! We will definitely go to Child's Play when we get back to Portland!
