Yesterday we climbed Mount Ascutney. 3130 feet elevation. 3 miles to the summit, somehow one of the harder hikes I've done in years.

Something is very wrong if people need a coach to teach them to retire. Do successful professionals really need someone to guide them how not to go into the office? My recommendation would be to sit and contemplate the nature of the universe. And when that becomes too painful, find something to do. Read a book. Go for a walk. Play a video game. Solve homelessness.
Retirement coaches are available for people who forget to plan the aspect of their postwork lives that doesn’t involve money.

I want a deer-desk! It would make my FitBit happy, and that's more important than productivity.

The elusive snow gnome, or snome, relaxes next to Buddha, who doesn't recall it being this cold in India in his past life. Pope Francis is releasing an encyclical stating that garden statuettes must be provided with hats and gloves during the Snowmageddon. #portland

"Our employees should relax on holiday and not read work-related emails. With 'Mail on Holiday' they start back after the holidays with a clean desk. There is no traffic jam in their inbox. That is an emotional relief." http://theatln.tc/1vNeJAH
Workers can look forward to coming back to an inbox exactly as they'd left it.

The "Don't Give It to a Russian" campaign encourages women to "fight the enemy by whatever means." http://theatln.tc/1hirgiK
"Don't give it to a Russian" uses the oldest protest trick in the book.

Once I had some work done by Craig Anderson, I don't use anyone else. They're good about scheduling, efficient in their work, and honest in their billing. When one of their plumbers had to go into the crawl space, he assessed accurately, taking all the tools and supplies he'd need so he wouldn't have to crawl in and out multiple times.
