I don't know why, but these days I really enjoy drawing mundane objects - like the biro on this page for instance. I used to be all about the crazy fantasy pictures, and I do still like drawing that stuff (which is good, seeing as this is a fantasy comic), but now I like drawing cups and bins and pepper pots as well for some reason.
Maybe it's just one of those things that happen when you get older. Like that day I suddenly realised I did actually WANT to go shopping for a new cutlery set.

I've found I really enjoy drawing glass bottles. It's probably all hangover from back when I did still life charcoals. I love getting that shine just right.
 
It's very satisfying, isn't it? When something real looks right. I think it's partly because you know what it looks like so well, that it's more of a challenge to get it right on paper.
