May the 3rd be with Yu!

Today is the #SaveShenmueHD Tweetathon, so please get hammering that hashtag on Twitter. Fans from around the world are already combining their voices to push Sega for confirmation of Shenmue 1 & 2 remasters in time for Shenmue 3's release.

Series director Yu Suzuki revealed this week that the mysterious Sword of Seven Stars will feature in the upcoming sequel. Let's give new players the chance to discover it themselves by having access to the original games on modern hardware.

One year ago this month, after being bombarded with questions from fans, Sega Europe broke its silence on the topic of Shenmue remasters and insisted that they "would love to release these tomorrow," and that despite "complications from licensed products" they were "currently investigating how to make it a reality." With industry showcase event E3 approaching next month, it's time for the custodians of Shenmue's past to commit to supporting its future by restoring Yu Suzuki's groundbreaking titles while he's working night and day on the long awaited follow-up.

Which means, for our part, it's time to spread the word and be heard on the 3rd! https://TeamYu.net/May3rd
