Vive le vin naturel! A previous reviewer called out Lowell's for "not the best wine selection".Yes, Lowell's wine list avoids "conventional" wines, manipulated with added sulphites, foreign yeasts, sugars, oak chips, and micro-oxygenization. Lowell's sommelier is to be applauded for his bold, innovative, and delicious offering (by the glass and by the bottle) of local and european "natural" wines--certified organic or biodynamic.

Great place full of locals. Locavore ingredients, free range meats. Food is excellent, service friendly. The place to eat in Sebastopol.

Homey-modern atmosphere, friendly service for an indecisive group of 8 folks with veg, pescatarian, and omnivore diets. Macrobowl was great!

Stopped in for lunch on a recommendation from Benovia Winery. They accommodated two vegans in our group and made a lovely pizza with heirloom tomatoes and pardon peppers. The soup was also vegan and very fresh and flavorful. The prices were reasonable. We also loved the Italian inspired wine list and ended up selecting Coenobium Ruscum - an Italian 'orange wine' similar to Paolo Bea - it was a nice break from the overwhelming number of local wines (while good - needed something different to reset my palate!). It's a small place, very simple, but with great food and a very cozy patio. Highly recommended!

Service and atmosphere are good but the dishes are overpriced and not that great nor satisfying for the high price (avoid the 'torta di riso' - some baked rice and kale at $18).

The cadence of this place is perfect. The staff is friendly, helpful, and never tries to rush or bother you. They bring you what you need and then leave you to enjoy being there. The food, which is spectacular, arrives neither too soon nor too late. If there is a 'west county' ethos, this place surely embodies it.

Staff was great, the salad was for the best I've had in a restaurant in quite some time. The pizza however was very dry and not particularly flavorful. Not the best wine selection around either, but good beer and cider selection
