Not only is this probably the oldest and coolest theater I've been to, but also the most courteous... The staff was cheerful and unique in their own right. Even more, I left my iPhone there at a late movie showing and returned the next day in hopes it wasn't stolen...it wasn't. They had it there and informed me that the cleaning crew found it and turned it in. Thank you Vista for the wonderful and roomy movie experience, and especially for returning my phone. :)

I have gone several times to Vista and when arriving, it was playing a different movie than what was on the website, as well as at a different time. This is very frustrating as it is both inconvenient and a waste of time/money. I have tried calling the theater ahead of time but no one ever answers the phone. It is a cool ideal to support my local theater, which I try to do as often as possible, but they make it hard to stay enthusiastic at times.

We support the Vista by attending as often as we can. Love the connection to history, plus one of the managers recognizes us and often dresses a part from the movie...welcome to our Silver Lake community...smart and quirky (goals I aspire to).

This theatre is pretty cool, and you can not beat the price, great and affordable. even the full priced tickets are cheap. Lots and lots of room, leg room for the tallest person, seats are comfortable, and the place is really clean. The decor of the theatre is by far the neatest thing about this place, with the lobby it seems small, then you walk into a very large open area that is eye catching, Egyptian decor and very nice sized screen. As well with an impressive sound system, a great place to go see movies and not break the budget. Will be back soon!

You cant beat the Vista: First run movies, Old school single screen theater, spacious seating, good sound, and inexpensive tickets. Parking sucks but its easy to find a spot if you know where to look..

One of the great movie houses in LA! The Vista is one of those historic old Egyptian-style theaters, dating from 1923, and it retains all those pharoanic motifs on the walls and ceiling, but it's thoroughly modern in all the best ways: super-clean, with a great sound system and a great screen. No stadium seating, but even better: they took out every other row of seats during their mid-90s renovation, so there's more leg-room than you've ever seen in a theater. And the prices are about 20% less than most area theatres...

How terribly happy you make me, Vista Theatre. $6.50(ish) for the first showing of the day in LA's best theatre. Fact. It feels old school and very fancy. The ticket man is always smiling and seemingly always there and the theatre is very spacious. You know, what, grab a drink at Tiki-Ti and then head over!
