Title: GEISHA

One of my favorite works that put together the complexity of man and woman historical relations. The one to dominate and the one to be dominated. It all lies in our human nature as dominance is one of the main social phenomena of society. Their world is often closed to outsiders and tourists may only catch a glimpse of them in passing. But now i would like to show an unprecedented access into the lives of the women who maintain centuries-old conventions in the modern era. Geisha started to appear in the pleasure quarters of Japan before the turn of the 18th century. The first geisha were actually men, whereas the first female ones who appeared years later were teenage odoriko who were expensively-trained “dancing girls” or dancers-for-hire. (As time passed on, being a geisha was mainly regarded as a female occupation.) Slowly, geisha became more widespread and a lot of them started to work primarily as entertainers — anyone who was selling sex (which was against their intended kind of work) were imprisoned after all in order to protect the oiran who were licensed high-class courtesans or prostitutes at that time. However, when 1800 came in, the oiran slowly fell out of demand when wealthy Japanese men chose geisha more as their companion of choice due to their ‘chic’ and modern demeanour.

Title: FLYING MAN

The best description I could find for this masterpiece is the words of Leonardo Da Vinci:

"When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return." Leonardo Da Vinci

Title: DISAPPOINTED STORKS
In our times one has to conquer the ability to read in between lines. What would be the ultimate disappointment if not returning home and find devastation? This famous painting reminds us all the words of David Passiak:

"I feel at times like I am drowning in a sea of profound disappointment, powerless to stop the madness of it all. There is so much potential to uplift humanity through innovation and creativity, collaboration and co-creation, and instead of acting on it we appear to exponentially increase suffering and remain trapped in systems of inequality. What can I do? What is the appropriate response? How do we move forward when we remain trapped by the past, haunted like ghosts by the circumstances of our births?"

TWIN CLOWNS

I'm a tearless clown. If I were to get a tattoo, it would be the two masks, and they would be both smiling. Andy Samberg

EGYPTIAN CAT

The ancient Egyptians were respectful towards the animals that shared their world and associated many of them with deities or positive human characteristics. However, no animal was held in such esteem as the cat. Cats were closely connected to a number of gods and goddesses, and there is evidence that they were considered to be demi-gods in their own right. As an inscription in the Valley of the Kings states; "You are the Great Cat, the avenger of the gods, and the judge of words, and the president of the sovereign chiefs and the governor of the holy Circle; you are indeed the Great Cat."

UMM KULTHUM BINT MUHAMMAD
She came back to her father's house and lived there for many years, shouldering the burdens of life with her mother Khadijah (Radi-allahu-anha) Muslims suffered a lot and some were even forced to eat leaves of trees. Hadhrat Khadijah (Radi-allahu-anha) died shortly after the boycott ended. Hadhrat Umm Kulthum, However, braced herself up and did not let the sadness and sorrow affect her negatively. She took care of the household and her little sister Fatima (Radi-allahu-anha) in a very mature manner. They lived happily for 6 years but the marriage remained childless. She passed away in year 09 AH in the month of Shaban (630CE), at the age of 29. She was laid to rest next to the grave of her sister, Hadhrat Ruqayyah (Radi-allahu-anha) Her life teaches us to be steadfast in faith and act maturely and patiently towards hardships in life. She took all her responsibilities with great care.
