To all my colleagues in Florida's moving industry and Florida constituents, there is a Senate Bill 798 that will negatively impact the moving industry. SB 798 calls for tariff rates and oppressive regulations. SB 798 if successful, will place many of my colleagues, small moving companies out of business. I am referring to those who operate one or two trucks (they employ people. The bill will not curb criminal activity in the moving industry, it will just place onerous regulations on reputable moving companies. Given Florida's slow economic recovery, Florida does not need over regulation of its industries.

I had the privilege of attending the Fair and Impartial Policing training on behalf of the Greater Tallahassee Chamber Of Commerce hosted by Chief Michael DeLeo, City of Tallahassee Police Department. Along with the Chief was his command unit and community members. It is very clear TPD is committed to building and nurturing a positive relationship with our community. It is also clear, the Chamber is committed to ensuring public safety is a priority for our community. Briefly, "fair and impartial policing perspective reflects a new way of thinking about the issue of biased policing. It is based on the science of bias, which tells us that biased policing is not, as some contend, due to widespread racism in policing. In fact, the science tells that even well-intentioned humans (and thus, officers) manifest biases that can impact on their perceptions and behavior. These biases can manifest below consciousness." http://www.fairimpartialpolicing.com/

Tallahassee and many other cities around the country are experiencing increased gun violence. The CDC & Surgeon General have categorized gun violence as a social disease, a public health concern. Check out this TED Talks https://www.ted.com/talks/gary_slutkin_let_s_treat_violence_like_a_contagious_disease?language=en
Physician Gary Slutkin spent a decade fighting tuberculosis, cholera and AIDS epidemics in Africa. When he returned to the United States, he thought he'd escape brutal epidemic deaths. But then he began to look more carefully at gun violence, noting that its spread followed the patterns of infectious diseases. A mind-flipping look at a problem that too many communities have accepted as a given. We've reversed the impact of so many diseases, says ...

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE!!! Eyephoria is not your typical eye wear store; Eyephoria's selection is unique, fashion forward and competitively priced. The owners are very knowledgeable regarding their products. OVERALL it is always a pleasure to visit and purchase sight corrective and sunglasses. Will not purchase eyeglasses anywhere else. In the market for glasses, give Eyephoria a visit - you will be very pleased you did.
