This was my first time at the Cheese company and I just bout fell over when we walked it !! Holy Cow was there the cheese ! And then the hard part started ...... what cheese to pick. So we went with the basic cheese curds .... because I LOVE SQUEEEKY cheese! We were NOT disappointed .... the flavor and texture were fantastic. I can tell you this, we will be back again !!!

My son and I stay for a week in Stevens Point for the Suzuki music camp each summer and coming to this dairy is a big tradition for us. We enjoy watching how they make cheese curds and love the taste of squeaky cheese. We make a trip at the first of the week to stock up on cheese strings and curds for the week then come back at the end of the week to purchase cheese to take home to Texas. I highly recommend the 7-year aged cheddar and the aged provolone. There is nothing like squeaky cheese and you can only get it in Wisconsin (as far as I know). You can only get white curds on Thursday. The other days it's orange - like cheddar. (That's an insider tip.) Don't miss the cheese fudge. It looks and tastes like the best chocolate fudge you've ever had - rich, creamy and chocolatey and you'd never guess it's made of cheese!! If you are traveling the nice ladies who work at the dairy will vacuum seal your cheese curds, string cheese or any other variety that isn't already vacuum packed and it will weather the trip home just fine. We always get stopped at airport security but it always makes it through!!! (Who knew they bomb-swabbed cheese?)

Ice cream is cheap and fresh. You can usually buy cheese curds that are still kind of warm. Best cheese place in wisconsin.

Barely escaped out of there with my wallet intact. So many tempting cheeses that were calling out for me to buy them. There were cheese curds were so fresh, tasty and squeaky that they had to have been made only hours before. So many variety of cheeses. Smoked, aged, flavored, regular, shredded, pretty much anything you can think of for cheese. The whole place is nice, very clean and modern looking. There is a big window looking out on the factory floor and it is very interesting to watch. And of course the cheese is of the highest quality. It is leagues above your typical grocery store fare, but the price is still competitive with grocery store prices, I especially like the 7 days a week hours. I was able to stop there Sunday morning on my long drive back to Michigan. One downside is that it isn't very close to a freeway. But if you are driving through central WI it isn't too far out of the way from I-39. Google maps said it only added 10 minutes of driving to my trip. Just make sure you have good directions/an up-to-date GPS. My old GPS tried to take me on a road that didn't exist anymore so I ended up more on highways then on the interstate. But I think I will end up making this a stop on every trip through the area, it's just too good to miss. One complaint is that they only take cash or check. The place was very busy even on a Sunday morning so it seems a bit strange they don't take credit cards.
