Here is the new billboard.. Sorry for neglecting this site.

Good morning, here’s an update on Veterans Cause.

I have altered the marketing towards the mother’s, father’s, sister’s, brother’s, and friends to get to the affected veterans.  Few come in on their own and I’m tired of failing.   My most regular attendee, Tom, Vietnam veteran, was willing to attend a Reiki therapy session and found it to be excellent.  He has just had his 2nd session and it has proven to be the most therapeutic thing he has done for some time.  Reiki is an Western type philosophy/treatment that brings energy into the subject.  Sounds like voodoo. I don’t give a crap if it’s marshmallow therapy if it works.

I’m meeting with an acupuncturist this Saturday for breakfast to go over his thought on how what he does may fit into our program.  Also have feelers into therapists who practice EMDR, eye movement therapy, light therapies, and more.

Veterans Cause is running, third official meeting is on Thursday, February 19, 2015.  No scheduled featured speaker yet but that may change.  I have a presentation on Thursday, February 5 in front of the PA War Veteran's Counsel in Wormleysburg, PA.  Excellent opportunity to get the full cooperation needed to expose Veterans Cause a very large number of suffering veterans.

We have searched the area to find an organization that is effective in helping veterans who are suffering from PTSD, and found none.  We created the “Veterans Cause.”
Veterans who have honorably served our country are returning home with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), only to find that there is no service available.  A 2010 VA study states that 22 veterans commit suicide each day.  We have declared THAT's ENOUGH!
The "Veterans Cause" was created to provide theater specific, (i.e. Iraq, Afghanistan, and Vietnam), for veterans in need in Dauphin, Cumberland, Perry, and northern York Counties in South Central Pennsylvania.  Group sessions are rotated throughout the region on a regular basis to give all interested veterans access to this needed service.   The Legions and other veteran’s organizations have quickly come on board providing rooms for counseling and other accommodations.
All donations are put toward counselor training, group counseling, individual counseling, awareness.  All donations are invested locally.
We need your help to finance the group counseling, individual counseling, and awareness so these Wounded Warriors can get the help they need anytime they need it.  Our goal is to have a group session available, theater specific every week.  Individual counseling will be conducted as the counselor and veteran agree.
Thank you in advance for your support.
