Hello everyone. I'm considering purchasing the Lenovo Z510 with 4th Generation Intel Core i3-4000M Processor (2.40GHz 1600MHz 3MB). Does anyone have this laptop? What are your thoughts?
Thanks!

This will work well for what you are asking with  room to grow. This is a semi-gaming laptop at the higher processor level and is a tad bit more than you need. An excellent choice.

Do you guys use any password manager? Which one would also work with Chrome OS? Thanks!

You can add an extra layer of security using a YubiKey.

Question for all you Chromie Insiders. What new hardware running Chrome OS are you expecting to see in the short and mid-term future? New models from Samsung, perhaps more powerful and with better screen resolutions (and hopefully the same price range)? New hardware manufacturers putting new products in the market? What do you think?

+Rick Huizinga +Jerry Daniels Which is exactly why I find it strange that the Pixel was $1300 and not $995.

I have a 4-year-old Acer Aspire 4736Z, with Intel GMA 4500M graphics. I've been trying to install Mint and I always a "black screen". I googled this and this seems to be a very common issue with all Linux distro's for the past year or more. There are some workarounds on the internet but shouldn't be a permanent solution to this problem by now?
I like Linux Mint a lot and I'd love to use it on my laptop but this issue is a real "deal breaker". I don't want to go back to Windows... :-(
Thanks, everyone!

+Fernando Ferreira you can remove the "quiet splash" options to show the boot process and maybe note any error messages. Also try to login (after boot finishes) via Ctrl+Alt+F1 and check logs using nano.

$ sudo nano /var/log/Xorg.0.log
