Today I am very excited and proud to announce that my latest post from Celtic Wanderlust has been chosen by Lonely Planet to be featured on their website this month (still pinching myself).

If you haven't read it yet, the post tells you (almost) everything you want to know about the Battle of Stirling Bridge that saw William Wallace (yep, the guy from 'Braveheart') crush the English forces in 1297. You'll find the link in the article below.

Thanks to everyone who chose to give Celtic Wanderlust a go. I hope to bring this audience more quality and enjoyable content as the blog grows. So stay tuned! 😉

I can't wait to see this movie on the big screen. In the meantime, let's follow in the footsteps of Queen Mary. The Palace of Holyroodhouse was one of my favourite things to do in Edinburgh. 😃

Sharing a few highlights from my trip to Belfast last weekend. I absolutely love the Cathedral Quarter with its colourful alleys and great restaurants. Don't miss of course the Albert Memorial Clock and beautiful City Hall. I'll have to return in the coming months to properly explore the Titanic Quarter and the Botanic Gardens among other things as I was a bit short of time. Can't wait to go back!

Looking into the History of Dublin means also looking into the History of the Guinness family. Their greatest achievement: the Guinness Brewery. I went back to the Guinness Storehouse (last time was 10 years ago!) for a fresh new look at this very popular attraction in Dublin. Well, I quite enjoyed it!! 🍻 Hopefully I'll have a post about the Guinness legacy soon up on the blog.

Last week I popped by The Little Museum of Dublin for a guided tour of this beautiful Georgian house located right on St Stephen's Green. This was a very unique museum experience as the history of Dublin was narrated through antiques donated to the museum by Dubliners. Lots of funny anecdotes await the visitors! Have you been there yourself? What did you think of it?
