Qui is one of the top restaurants in the country let alone the ATX. It's manned by Austin's celebrity chef Paul Qui and he brings wonderful asian fusion dishes and a great bar staff that was give the honor of the official drink of Austin. Tip: Qui can be expensive so I highly recommend getting their before 7 for their great happy hour with low cost high quality skewers.

Know what to expect - This is a small plates, fixed price, chef designed menu. You choose omnivore or vegetarian, decide on drink options, and then sit back and enjoy the ride. Actually, that's not completely accurate because the flavors are so dynamic and interesting that you become an active participant in the meal as you experience the food that Paul Qui and his team creates. An excellent experience.

If you ever want to enjoy fine dining in one of the best city in the US - Qui in Austin is your go to place. Yes - I know I sound like a fan girl of another celebrity chef (Top Chef and James Beard winner). However, Qui holds it own with their exceptional service, a rarity in Austin and every plate is an adventure for your palette.

I love the venue. It's simple and clean but very modern and elegant. The kitchen is mostly open so you can see the chefs prepping your food which is always interesting to me. My fiance took me here for my birthday and I loved every bite. The plates are a bit small and hard to share but so worth it. The flavor combinations seem strange on paper but are divine. Paul Qui and his staff definitely know how to make your senses excited. Paul Qui was present that night and even delivered an off the menu/on the house birthday surprise that was just as incredible as everything else I devoured that night! Definitely top of my list!

I came to qui for a birthday dinner and was blown away by both the food and the experience. While typically closed on Sundays, they opted to open during ACL weekend. Fortunately for us, no one seemed to realize this change and we had almost the entire restaurant to ourselves. Perhaps as a result of this, the service was exceptional and probably the best I've ever experienced. Our waiter exuded professionalism and had an impressive knowledge concerning the intricacies of every dish we were served. We ordered both of the prix fixe options (regular + vegetarian) and shared the dishes. Each dish was perfectly composed and the presentation beautiful. My only complaint is that some of the servings were somewhat meager. I guess that's just a tradeoff at these kinds of upscale restaurants. The modern decor of this establishment is well-suited to the culinary offerings. The dishes and utensils were all unique and often had a story behind them (just ask the waiter!). While much too expensive for regular dining, qui is a fantastic place for a big date. Just be sure to make the reservation at least two weeks in advance to guarantee a reasonable timeslot.

Qui is the "it" restaurant in Austin right now, and it live up to the hype! I sat at the bar and ate off of their pulutan menu, but I will be back for their tasting menu. Off the pulutan menu you really can't go wrong, but my favorites were the desserts and the dinuguan pork shoulder rice dish. Tip: Go for happy hour Monday through Wednesday before 7 and get your hands on their amazing skewers plates for only two dollars a pop. I could easily eat 10-20, they're delicious.

Qui's food is renown - fresh seafood with some Texan flair that's hard to category - and amazing but I want to cover other aspects. The architecture and scenery is amazing. Indoor seating allows full view of all chefs plying their craft and outdoor seating provides covered and open-aired views of night life along bustling E 6th. The bar has an extended range of liquors from around the world and offers unique cocktails meant to challenge the palate just as much as the food does. Every employee is extremely knowledgeable of the menu and can drop a ton of knowledge on you if you're so inclined to learn. Qui's prices aren't cheap as they've moved to a tasting menu indoor but if you're looking for a top of the line experience in a great atmosphere it's second to none, in Austin or otherwise.

I took my parents to Qui and it was a great experience. The food was perfectly cooked and the service was on par. I think my favorite thing was the drinks- they had a wide variety of different cocktails for all palettes and they constantly change the menu to keep it fresh. I also really like the newer bar food menu- definitely good for someone who doesn't want to spend too much for a fancy meal but still wants to try the place out.

qui hasn't shared anything with you.

People are more likely to share with you if you add them to your circles.
