A valley (hypothetically) divided

Four of six SLV counties would be part of a hypothetical nation called El Norte while the other two would be located in a country called The Far West, according to an article appearing in Tufts Magazine.

The author of the politically charged article uses the "dominant culture" of regions (predominantly U.S. counties) to define the national borders. As ever, the SLV remains at the borderlands and on the frontier.
