Coffee Bites is tiny, just a few tables in front, and some more casual seating upstairs, but it has everything you could want in a coffee shop. Excellent coffee and espresso based drinks, a friendly staff, and incredible custom made treats. I recommend the homebaked muffins and the lime mousse. Just a block from the Brooklyn Museum, and two blocks from the Botanical Gardens. Open every day from 9am to 8pm, I think. Free wifi and a clean restroom too!

The coffee isn't cheap, but it's not overpriced (if I wanted to just pay a buck for a coffee, I'd go to a local bodega). They also sell small treats such a brownies, cookies, and cupcakes. The staff was very friendly and nice. It's a small space and there's a bench outdoors so it's not really the place to sit down and talk for an extended time.

Great neighborhood coffee shop with yummy treats. Very local centric and civic-minded. A truly valuable addition to Washington Avenue.
