Well done to Peter Bradley and all of the Rebel Runners for holding their Strand Half Marathon on Saturday 19th September. The event itself raised an impressive £1000, which will be split between The Friends of the Wisdom Hospice and the Huntingdon's Disease Association. The Friends would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part on the day and gave up their time to raise money for two fantastic causes!

A huge thank you to everyone at Kent Police Training School for taking part in their Van Pull in order to raise vital funds for Hospice care! They have to complete a whopping 120 laps and are so far over three quarters of the way through, having completed over 80 laps! Once again a huge thank you to all the new recruits for taking the time to think about The Wisdom Hospice.

Our knitters really do bring a smile to our face! They love what they do and they especially love knitting for the hospice. Thank you once again to the wonderful ladies who spend hours of their time creating handmade novelty gifts for us to sell. Special thanks to Pat and Sue, the A Team, who effortlessly organise everything.

The Medway Runners are very kindly going to be holding a local Half Marathon in order to raise money for The Wisdom Hospice. It will take place on Saturday 5th of December at The Strand Leisure Park, starting at 9am and finishing at approximately 2pm. They are appealing for some Volunteer Marshals to help ensure the event's success. Marshals will be stationed at different points around the route and will need to be aged over 16. If you can spare some free time to help out a great cause, please contact Emma on 01634 831163 or alternatively email at emmadengate@fowh.org.uk
