Here is a beautiful post written by +Kurt Smith about not allowing comparison steal your joy that I think you will enjoy.

Don't Let Comparing Steal Your Joy

Theodore Roosevelt hit the nail on the head with this quote. I can think of no faster way to suck the joy out of a situation than to compare it to what someone else has or does. And yet we all seem to do so on a regular basis.

We're all bombarded constantly by endless media outlets and savvy marketing strategies that try to convince us we could do better. They send a message that what we have isn’t as good as [this car, this job, this house, this mate . . . the options for filling in the blank are limitless].

When we buy into the comparison game, we don't appreciate where we’re at in life. This robs us of joy. The mistake in comparing is that we focus on the negative details of our own situation and only see the positive appearance of the “better” alternative. It’s not a fair comparison and automatically sets us up for disappointment.

There’s a shortage of joy in this world, and we all need to feed it more. Don’t sacrifice any of your own happiness by getting sucked into comparing yourself or what you have or where you live to anyone else’s anything. Let’s each take a minute to value where we’re at, right now.

Parenting is one of the best things you can ever do in your life. The rewards of parenting can be amazing and they can be pretty awful at times too. Parenting has been part of the best times of my life and they have also been part of the worst times of my life. Yes, Both the best and worst. If I were to offer you my very best advice for being a parent (and I give this advice often) then it would hands down be, "Keep on keeping on!" http://bit.ly/1juaD5q

Attracting birds to your garden can be as easy as putting out a feeder and a birdbath. If you keep the feeder filled and the birdbath filled with fresh water...they will come. Come see what else you can do to sweeten the pot and attract even more beautiful birds to eat your bugs (Including mosquitoes) and sing their songs to you... http://bit.ly/VcQqMw

This is an excellent school. 2 of my 3 children graduated from this school and I couldn't be more pleased with their education. The teachers are excellent, the coaches are excellent, and the facilities are excellent. My children had a well rounded education from staff who cared. They also had many opportunities to participate in extra curricular activities and sports at a competitive and winning level. This school has had an excellent rating from the state for many years. My children were well prepared for college by this school.

My family eats at this restaurant on a regular basis and it is excellent. It is a tiny little place but the food and service is wonderful. We have used Jo for several years to cater our annual Christmas party and she does a wonderful job. People come every year for the food. It is talked about all year long and she never fails to please. If you leave her place hungry it is your own fault. She is such a blessing to everyone who comes within her radius and her food is just Wow!
