My new cart for the garage.  I'm prone to clutter, and got this idea from the GRM tips and tricks thread:

GRMer said:
At the start of the project, empty it entirely. As you proceed, put all parts, tools, hardware, etc. from the project on the cart. Roll it near you wherever you are working, and keep tossing stuff into it. Give yourself the freedom to be as big a slob as you need, but only on that cart.

At the end of the project you will be able to quickly check and see if you've got any parts left over. If it's on the cart, it came from this project.

When you are ready, roll the cart over to your toolbox/ shelves/ bench, wherever the tools go, and put them away. It doesn't have to be the same day. Whenever you get to it. It's a good way to stop misplacing tools. If it's not where it belongs, it is on the cart.

The official announcement won't come until Tuesday, but GRM is starting a new podcast.   I've only listened to the first episode, but it is good stuff; i.e. the bulk of the first one is an interview with Charles Espenlaub on fire safety[*] gear and HPDEs, the Mazda ladder series, and what it takes to become a pro driver.  Definitely worth listening to.
To get episode 1, go to iTunes > File > Subscribe to podcast. In the dialogue that comes up enter: http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/pod

* - For those not in the know, back in 2009 Espenlaub was in a serious fire at Thunderhill, and has now become something of a  posterboy for discussing all things safety related

Paul Walker made some fun films about cars....not high art, but  popcorn movies that made me smile.  More importantly, it seems like he was a good person.  As was noted recently at GRM, he was never in the tabloids for sleeping around or needing a trip to rehab, and it looks like he genuinely tried to use his success to make the world a better place.

Grilling pineapples from my yard, tangerines from Dad's yard, and star fruit from a coworker's house.  Dad said it was so good he may never eat pineapple raw again.  I love Florida living

it worked really well.  we coated everything with a mix of olive oil, honey, calamondin juice, and pepper.  I put the recipe up at GRM

Another amazing Paul Walker story:  Mila Kunis's FB post says that the first time she saw Paul Walker, he was giving a street musician $10,000 to use for their sister's cancer treatment.    It wasn't part of an organized charity event, and definitely wasn't a show for some PR cameras.....just one man trying to help out somebody who needed a hand.  It's worth reading.  Here's her story.

I love the new nissan IDX concept.....it's like the second coming of the 510.  (And certainly looks more like a 510 than the 370 looks like a 240.)  Let's hope they don't mess it up with the wrong drive train.  This needs to be a front engine, RWD four cylinder with an optional stick shift.
