Use the link to see an image of an Owl Butterfly in "X-Ray" comparison mode. In this mode, the images are registered and synchronized so that they remain aligned, and then we open a viewport (it can be either circular or square) and we can then see what is on the lower surface.

We can move the top image around, as well as move the viewport. On this example you can see that the antenna on the left is hidden - move the viewport and you can see that it is badly positioned underneath the specimen.

1.18 gigapixels, 35,008 x 33,600 pixels, 116.7 in X 112.0 in at 300dpi, 5,852 pixels per inch.

I'm starting to build lists and maps of the actions of the 65th Brigade of the 33rd (Prairie) Infantry Division in WW1, in which Jody Savage's grandfather served.

Here's the first map with the early actions with the Australian and British Army in the Somme in 1918.

Great way to get a handle on coding for the web!
THIS is the class to attend if you are a complete beginner! We are starting the curriculum of this class from square one. We'll cover the very basics:

- Explaining "front-end" vs. "back-end"
- Explaining web apps vs. web sites
- Discussing tools of the trade
- Explaining the separation between structure, presentation, and behavior
- Writing a basic HTML page
- Styling the page with basic CSS
- Adding a small amount of JS
- Explaining the role of front-end development as a job and career

No recap session for this class. Please show up before 8pm, as physical space is limited. Bring a laptop!

Info about the class and directions for attending in person are available here: https://noisebridge.net/wiki/Front-end_Web_Development
