I've just posted a lengthy post on configuring ADF for session replication and some of the caveats with managed bean replication and data controls other than ADF Business Components

Another post about using Selenium for automated testing of Oracle ADF application. This one talks about the configuration changes you should make to the application under test. Especially oracle.adf.view.rich.automation.ENABLED is crucial. I am still working on a framework of testing classes to fully leverage this and make writing Selenium JUnit tests for ADF a breeze.

This post shows the basics of how to run an automated test using Selenium against and ADF application. It contains a link to the full github repo although I'm still working on a more complete example with convenient test objects per ADF component.

Just blogged an example how to host a JAX-WS SOAP Web Service on Google App Engine. Although App Engine seems more geared towards RESTful JSON services we wanted to host a XML SOAP service as we need something like that for demoing accessing a SOAP service from ADF. We need it on the public internet and what's easier than to use Google's free service to host a web service 24x7 that anyone can access.

Post on a custom JSF PhaseListener that checks for developers that forget to call oracle.adf.controller.ControllerContext#markScopeDirty when changing a viewScope or pageFlowScope bean in a cluster with session replication.

Just blogged about a SOAPHandler you can add to your JAX-WS service proxies. It will log any soap fault including the request payload that caused it to ADFLogger. In verbose mode it will log all requests and responses. Also does performance timing of each service call and allows for fine grained log levels for each service and operation. Can be a very valuable tool during development and when diagnosing issues in production.

Cool tip. Just added it to my list of JDeveloper Preferences I always change after a fresh install. This list is at http://www.redheap.com/2013/05/customizing-jdeveloper-preferences.html
