The Corvette hobby has millions of enthusiasts, but few as recognizable and well-known as Terry Michaelis, president and co-owner of Pro Team Corvette in Napoleon, Ohio, and a Corvette collector who has owned some of the most important Corvettes ever produced.

The untold Story of the Earliest Corvette Sting Ray; were it not for a twist of fate, this unique Corvette may have met an untimely end. It left GM Styling in late Sept. '62 for London’s Earls Court show stage. It never returned.  A barn find back in '82, it remained in a private collection in London for 30 years. http://www.tmichaelis.com

WANTED Any Scoda/NASCAR Photos, Programs, Race Grids/Results… of the early 1953-55 Corvettes that raced against the T-Birds at Raleigh, NC around August 1955, Martinsville, VA on June 3rd, 1956, Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, NC (1956-57) and Daytona Beach, FL in February 1956. The race numbers probably were #62, #92, #16, #27 and #3.

The Drivers were Bill France, Alvin or Jack Hawkins in Daytona and Pee Wee Jones, Bobby Myers and Billy Myers in the Carolinas and probably Martinsville, VA. The cars were probably maintained by Hubert Westmoreland.

I would like to communicate with the official or unofficial historian of each of these racetracks and persons knowledgeable on the NASCAR Scoda sanctioned events.

Any information will probably be used to write a book on this fascinating chapter of NASCAR History. Rewards! Email:  terry@proteamcorvette.com or write to:  P.O. Box 606, Napoleon, Ohio 43545

Corvette Split Window Coupe Z06 Export returns home from Australia – - ProTeam Classic Corvette brought home a piece of GM hardware that is both historically important and desirable in any collection and on any continent. The 1963 Split Window Coupe Right Hand Drive Z06 Fuelie was delivered new to GM’s Sydney, Australia division where it sold privately in 1964. The expatriate enters as a jewel in ProTeam’s world class Corvette collection where its incredible journey may only be beginning. Contact Terry Michaelis directly at terry@proteamcorvette.com if you have any information on this iconic Corvette.
