Comfortable, casual spot for classic Indian dishes & bottomless chai tea service.- Google

Best Indian food on the west coast. Butter chicken is sublime. Haven't had anything here I didn't love.

I thoroughly enjoy eating good Indian food and have had the pleasure of dining in many of the finest Indian restaurants in London, England and Vancouver, B.C. The garbage served at "Taste Of India" is disgusting and overpriced. We started with the Keema Naan that was served under-cooked (raw dough) and greasy with a grotesque looking grey tasteless slab of ground beef??? at its center. (Wish I'd cancelled the rest of our order and left the restaurant right then). The Beef Vindaloo arrived as an unappealing slurry of potatoes with stringy beef cubes. The Chicken Korma curry sauce was all wrong, the consistency was lumpy with dry flavorless pieces of chicken?? When this dish is prepared with even a modicum of skill it is absolutely luscious. I sampled all the above mentioned dishes and was left with a prevailing rancid aftertaste in my mouth. The only thing the kitchen got right was the basmati rice. The service was average at best. I can't even say I left hungry because I'd lost my appetite altogether. Taste Of India banks on an undiscerning public. However if you must eat there, wear your Muck Boots.
