Did you know KRunner can do all of this?
Great read, I hope they push the functionality of KRunner further. I have been using krunner almost exclusively to access apps and files. I stopped using the klauncher a couple years ago, because of how slow it was compared to just typing in a few letters to get to what I want. Now, if there was a way to get the network, USB, sound, ect.. Management icons into there, I wouldn't need to even use any plasma panels. At that point it feels more like Android, so, I am not sure how devs feel about that.Apr 4, 2015

With Plasma 5, both Alt+Space and Alt+F2 can be used.
+William Thorup I quite like the idea of exposing all those features through KRunner, maybe not through plasmoids, but via commands. Let's see what we can do.Apr 4, 2015
