We frequent Applebee's in Layton, Ut, at least twice a week. We are always cheerfully welcomed and treated almost like family. My wife is allergic to pepper and the Manager, Pam, actually keeps Benadryl on hand just in case she, or any patron, has an allergy problem. The food is ALWAYS delicious and we love taking family and friends there for special occasions. Highly recommended.

This was the 2nd and last time ill ever go to the layton apple bees, the 1st time my husband and I went there we said we'd never go back but, my husband loves their wings and I enjoy most of their food so we decided to give it another chance and we won't be returning. The 1st time we went to the Layton apple bees our waitress was totally inappropriate with us and kept making comments about mine and my husband tattoos and piercing. I literally just stared at her for few minutes as she was talking about how her boyfriend loves her tongue and how she can't wait to get more and she sat her order book down on our table so she could roll up her shirt uniform to show us her trash tattoo. Now keep in mind this lady wasn't some young waitress she was well into her mid 30's. I felt totally uncomfortable, I came into apple bees to enjoy dinner with my husband not be bother by our waitress. Threw out our night there she would come up to our table to "check" in on us but would alway make some kind of comment on where we get tattooed, and if they hurt, or how long did our tattoo takes nothing to do with is our food ok, or if we needed a refill? And on the last time she came up to our table I had to ask for our check since she once again tried to strike a conversation up about how we looked. I find this totally inappropriate and mind blowing that anyone let alone an older women would think for one second this was an ok behavior to have with a paying guest in a restaurant. Now tonight, the 2nd time we had the same problem. Our waitress sat us down offer us drinks was totally nice and friendly and as my husband and I are looking over the menu and in the middle of a conversation all of a sudden some waiter comes up to our table and say "sorry I don't mean to be rude" (OK STOP RIGHT THERE, if this is how you come up to someone and you are already apologizing for being rude maybe you should just stop and not say anything more) but I look over at him and he said, WOW how big our your ears and I look at my husband and look back at him and say an 1 1/2 and look back down at my menu and he continues to make small talk about his ears and how he has to tape and blah blah blah, I don't even know what else he was saying because I was so infuriated that I was being bombardier in the middle of my dinner time with my family for some kid to talk and point out my ears. Finally the guy got the hint that I didn't want to talk about our plugs and he walked away and went back to his table he was supposed to be waiting on. So our waitress comes back and takes our order and was being nice even told us that it was half off wings and what not, so after we order our dinner my husband and I are just sitting there enjoying conversations and what not and some random waitress comes us to the table in the middle of our conversations and totally disregards that my husband and I were talking and say "OMG I've been look at your tattoos there really cool..." and I just cut her off I say thanks and start talking to my husband again. I just find this behavior totally unexceptable and beyond rude. I'm a paying guest trying to enjoy my family time out to dinner. I didn't come into your restaurants to be bother by your rude and ignorant employees. I would work with the public in a retail store and I would never interrupt or bother someone who was shopping to stop them to ask them about how they looked. I not some freak of nature or a circus act to be poke at. I feel totally disrespect that apple bees employees feel that their behavior is normal and acceptable. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this restaurants.

Went there fir my birthday dinner with friends, they were busy, so it took a bit for service, understandable. My gf ordered a pasta with all meat on the side,(vegetarian) server bright it out, and said "sorry, bacon was already made in the sauce. " the new pasta she got was watery, instead of saucey. my steak was rare, instead of medium/well. Spoke to the manager and he g gave a pretty large discount on the bill. Maybe it was just a tough night for Applebees

Open late; lots of choices on the menu. Adequate, consistent, good service. A good choice when I can't think of where to go and it's late.
