Introduction
Interested in everything, knowledgeable about a few things, eternally curious. Strongly believe that Every day is a learning day.

Born and raised in a small village in Oxfordshire, my post-uni years saw me broaden my horizons by tracing a very thin line through a number of foreign lands.

Now settled in Buckinghamshire, raising a family and working in my niche - I love website design, graphic design, social media and gadgets - luckily my role at BBI Brandboost involves all of these things!

TBH, he's not that hard to find ;-)

This charming little Easter Bunny has found three sneaky hiding places on our website.

Can you catch him?

In order to understand the value of Google+ in B2B marketing, we ran a quick scenario past our media monkey...

This is the second time I've watched football on the #btsport app.
The first time, it worked perfectly.
Today, not so much.

Always good to see a business venturing into the #GooglePlus  community.

I would definitely recommend joining a few groups and getting involved in discussions, people on here are generally pretty welcoming.

Isn't that right +Ingenious Britain & +Simply Business ?

So, we're new to #GooglePlus and we thought it would be a good idea to introduce ourselves.

We make #LuminousHeaters  (or #PlaqueHeaters  if you prefer) like these: http://www.schwank.co.uk/en/products/product-range/plaque-luminous-heater/advantages.html

We also make Gas Fired #RadiantTube  Heaters like these: http://www.schwank.co.uk/en/products/product-range/radiant-tube-heater/advantages.html

In fact, if you've ever been to #StamfordBridge  or the #Bernabéu  (depending on the time of year) you will have been kept warm by our heaters!

As well as sports stadiums, we provide heating solutions for warehouses, factories, outdoor eating areas, aircraft hangars...    all manner of places!

That's it for the introduction. We hope we've provided an insight into what we do and how well we do it.

We look forward to connecting with people and businesses on #GooglePlus  and to some interesting conversations :-)

I shared these thoughts with a little known group on #LinkedIn  19 days ago...   because nobody visits that group, my little pearl of wisdom has remained unread.

Now, I get a second bite of the cherry and you lucky peeps get an insight into the workings of my grey matter - basically your classic win-win!

-------------------------------------

Just reading about the manual penalty imposed by #Google on @DocSheldon and @MattCutts' defence of it. (See: http://inbound.org/discussion/view/this-is-insane-period-matt-cutts-on-why-doc-sheldon-s-penalty-was-valid

A thought that I often have when reading about Google is that it really doesn't matter whether you think of it as an evil overlord of the web whose sole purpose is to make people buy PPC campaigns, or you believe it to be a benevolent presence devoted to making sure end users are always shown the most relevant and informative information when searching for a topic.

The fact is that Google, whatever its motivation, wants to ensure that results are returned on its terms. That is, it wants everyone to know that GOOGLE MAKES THE RULES.

Any attempt to game the system to try to elevate a website in search results is seen by Google as an infringement of its rules and is therefore penalised (if spotted).

All this means that ANY SEO work carried out on a website, particularly link building which necessarily involves third parties over whom you have no control, needs to be undertaken with extreme care.

As I say, it doesn't matter what you believe Google's motivation to be, you just simply have to accept that SEO needs to be approached with caution.

If you are a guest blogger and you know that the links back to your website are not set as NOFOLLOW, or if you know that the content on your website is stuffed unnaturally with keywords, you are walking a fine line and should be aware of the risks.

Conclusion: ALL SEO IS SEEN AS BAD BY GOOGLE

(It's just that some things are worse than others and some websites stand out more, making them more likely to get penalised).

There we are - Thanks for reading.

I believe we can get 5 or 7 points at best.  But it would take an incredible turnaround for that to happen...

I don't see why we can't give Helenius a chance.

Lovely panorama created by #autoawesome  - I used to use the panorama option on my phone but I don't bother anymore.

So, I asked middle child to get me a beer and put it in a pint glass. This is what she brought me.
I guess she has quite a literal mind.

Cedric & Elaine are about the friendliest landlord & landlady you could ever hope to meet. The beer is good, the food's inexpensive and there is always a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
