Just did my first class at Pole Control and loved it. Small classes mean one on one help if needed and a much more comfortable environment. I have no idea why there are any negative reviews. I purchased the groupon and had no problems. I also purchased a class package and will be a frequent at Pole Control!

By far, the worst "company" I have ever worked with. I booked a party 9 months in advance and was asked to put a $265.88 deposit down for a bachelorette party, and a month later the wedding was called off. I called (now 8 months in advance) and requested a cancellation and refund of the outrageous deposit, which they said they would not do. (8 MONTHS NOTICE, REALLY?). I asked twice for them to reconsider as I gave an immense amount of notice. I then asked for a name of who I was speaking with and they refused to give me a name. Really? I give you my name, address, and credit card information and you can't tell me the person of whom I am speaking with? So ridiculous, but whoever it was could barely put a sentence together with two words of it spelled correctly. THEN, the next day I e-mailed them back asking if I could get the deposit money mailed to me on a gift card, so I could at least give it to someone else. They responded "Yes, Absolutely"...Then after I give them my mailing address, they said, "We are not sending a gift card as it cannot be transferred to a gift card. It can be given to someone else."...WTF?? Wait, Did I miss something? "Yes absolutely' actually meant "No, not really." Would NEVER recommend anyone doing any business with these jerks, and by these reviews it looks like I'm not the only one. Do yourself a favor and make the extra drive to somewhere else!

Here is a customer who paid the invoice for the deposit to reserve a Bachelorette party with us. which is always $250.00 and says clearly no refunds. We never retained her credit card as it was paid on a online invoice of a third part Paypal Business .We book parties 18 months in advance at times .On that date we already had parties that we had to move 1 hour for 12/12/15 because she needed 2 hours and 30 minutes because of 15 guests. We do not give refunds but allow to cancel and reschedule if cancelled within 3 weeks prior to booked event. We offered her just that. to have another party a girls night out a birthday party but we have no refunds. It states in the quote we sent her no refunds. We are the leader in VIP Pole Parties and went to ever length to try to satisfy this client As we always do. This review is not warranted and is a client that now wants her money back but we have no refunds. Please read all the Bachelorette party reviews as we have over 150 testimonials that prove that. We never attacked her personally level as she attacked our company..We followed every policy and this was a very happy happy customer until she did not get a refund.which she read paid online being the deposit invoice that says just that No refunds..Please note when you pay a paypal invoice paypal verifies the person which is on the payment invoice as she emailed us her address we never requested because we had it..As stated we have a clients address when paid through a third party and all addresses are verified. We always require the $250.00 deposit plus tax on every Vip party.Her party was over $700.00 not including any extras such as purchased food.We do not think a $250.00 deposit is to much being that is less than a 33% deposit. She also failed to mention we gave her a $275.00 discount on the party.

I would not recommend anyone to Pole Control Studios. Their business set up seems to be very disorganized. Their initial registration process is very difficult, especially if you are looking to use a Groupon for your first attempt at exploring their services. Their policy states that the expected turn around period confirming that your registration has been processed is within 3 business days. Although, from my experience they clearly have no idea the IMPORTANCE of replying back within a reasonable time frame. I invested in two Groupons and exhausted all my options (e-mail, phone, location) in trying to successfully secure a spot for their introductory class and obtained ZERO replies/results. After trying to register multiple times and being under the impression that my request had not been received, I finally heard from them via e-mail asking me to stop sending requests and informing me that I had an option of paying an additional fee if I had any interest. EXCUSE ME!?!? Apparently, due to their business model, every time that you send a request it opens up some type of account somewhere making them responsible for a $15 dollar fee. I'm almost sure that, that is the only reason I was able to hear back from them since their inability to reply back was costing them money. After receiving their very unprofessional e-mails I politely replied back asking them for guidance and expressed my frustration at that point. This was over a week ago and I still have not heard back from them. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME WITH THIS BUSINESS. *** 12/24/14 - It is very unfortunate to see that it took all this for a business owner to take his business serious. If evidence is required, I can certainly provide it myself. Thank you for the kind e-mail that I finally received yesterday (12/23/2014), it was very nice hearing from you. Unfortunately, I do believe it is very inconvenient for a paying customer to have to go through all this to get some type of respond back, I feel it would be very irresponsible on my part to not make other people aware before they waste their TIME and MONEY. Thank you again for taking the time to reply back.

Some people you cannot please. You had used 1 coupon and tried to use another we have record of emails and coupon activations. This comment is not warranted and completely false.

so I've been wanting to do this for so long and i finally went for my intro class and i had a blast the lady was very nice, welcoming and made u feel comfortable she answered all questions i had. I learned moves and it is not easy lol i was so sore the next day. I really worked muscles i didn't know i had lol such a great workout and a fun time doing it. The only thing is i wish i could reach them by phone but other than that i cant wait to take my other classes, i love it!!!!!

I bought a Groupon thinking it was a great deal, however the emails received from Pole Control Studios were constantly rude. I have never been treated with such horrible customer service. They had me pick two dates, which I did, never told me which class I got put into, and gave me another date which I didn't choose. When I expressed how their customer service was very snippy and rude when I was just trying to get the information for my class, they just brushed it off and said have a great day; they do not care about their customers. I am now forfeiting my money, since it has now been too long for a refund, rather than attending their class.

I purchased 4 classes from Groupon for only $19 ( I had a $10 coupon code with groupon). All 1st timers are required to take the intro class. The class sizes are smaller so you can ask questions and ask for help without feeling like your bothering the other students. I had a great time sweating it up. The atmosphere is laid back so you don't feel nervous about spinning around on the pole. The instructor was very nice and professional. The only thing I would of liked more of was louder music while we are practicing. I intend to use the rest of my sessions in the Groupon packet and also purchase some more. My arms, abs and legs were sore the SAME day! Definitely a GREAT work out!

I purchased a 4 class package and group on and absolutely love it. I found the staff to be friendly the instructor was knowledgeable and the small class size made me comfortable. I look forward to more classes and learning more moves.

I attended my first pole class last night at Pole Control Studios. I was a little nervous but super excited when finally using the Living Social deal I bought a few months prior. I have absolutely no experience with the pole but I’ve always wanted to try it and I’m ecstatic about how much I enjoyed my introductory class at this studio. The booking process was somewhat confusing, took several loops around the website and careful reading of the directions to figure out how to properly sign up as a new student. The website states at multiple points that emailing about inquiries and booking online (for subsequent classes) is best but it looks like these instructions were ignored by many of the reviewers – hence their negative reviews and total lack of ability to read instructions. Admittedly, their website needs a little work to become easier to navigate but if you take the time to read it, it will make sense. I arrived 20 minutes early (gotta catch that street parking when you can!) with plenty of time to change clothes in the changing room and stretch in the adjacent studio across the hall. All of the staff was very helpful, friendly and supportive from the moment I stepped through the doors to the very moment I left. You will have little open cubby spaces to store your belongings near the front of the studio (not locked) which should be enough for a medium-large gym bag and a coat. I wouldn’t recommend bringing multiple bags or bulky clothes because you may not have enough space for your belongings. After a quick arm, leg and back stretch and a tiny bit of ab work, we jumped right into some basic moves including walking around a spinning pole (these are NOT the static poles), front hooks, back hooks, ballerina, and chair poses. You will have a definite advantage if you have established core strength, decent balance and upper body strength as you can hold positions better and transition into different moves with less effort. Makes all those crunches, Russian twists and leg raises worthwhile! The staff is very attentive and works with each student in a very mindful way; they make corrections to your body positioning and technique, offer tips and advice and overall great individual attention even in a group setting. They warn that after your first class, you’ll probably have sore arms and not be able to lift them above your shoulders. That doesn’t seem to be an issue for me – my arms feel fine but the back of my knees are bruised up! You may want to plan accordingly if you need extensive use of your arms the next day or don’t want to sport bruises at the beach or some dressy event the day(s) after. Less than 24 hours later, I’m still just enthusiastic about my experience and have already booked my next class. I’m definitely looking forward to coming back! :)
